Typical iStore. *2022-08-29, version 1.1.2* I downloaded this app simply based on an email notification I got from the iStore South Africa. The email said that I’m subscribed to the ReactPlus service and will get billed for R39pm unless I unsubscribe. I can’t remember subscribing but since I recently bought an iPad and paid via credit card I thought, perhaps I opted in for the service unknowingly. If you ever phoned the iStore you’d know how poor their call centre and general customer support are, and so I thought it’s quicker to just login an deactivate the service. After logging in I saw I’m actually not subscribed. So my complaint is that they tricked me into downloading an app (which I’ll delete now) by saying I’ll get charged for a service I never subscribed to in the first place. I should probably have known I should ignore their email but I expected the iStore to be underhanded, just not in this way.
