### 4/5 — Awesome when it opens

*2026-06-04*

Love most everything about the app and functions but frequently the app won’t fully open and I’ll have a blank processing screen.

**Developer response:** Thanks so much for the kind words. We’re really glad you’re enjoying the app overall! That blank processing screen definitely isn’t expected, and we’d love to help get that sorted. If you’re open to it, please reach out to us at support@read.ai so we can take a closer look.

### 2/5 — Upload Issues

*2026-03-05, version 2.7.0*

The mobile app has been unable to transcribe my last few mobile recordings so I lost my notes. It’s unfortunate that I have to record with another app and then upload my recordings on my laptop.

The phone app is only good at accessing the features that are already on the desktop.

Requesting that the app save audio recordings taken within the mobile app directly to iPhone “Files” until they can be uploaded to read.ai. I should be able to record something, stop the recording and exit, and then close the app and still be able to access the meeting file on my phone.

Other apps that do this: Preview, Voice Recorder, WhatsApp

### 4/5 — Some things are amazing !

*2026-02-02*

Recording live meetings feature is great. I use it all the time now during random in person conversations and brainstorming sessions. One big ask: Please add the button to add read to a currently happening conference link. That button is only available on the mobile web and it’s clunky.

### 2/5 — Can't sign in

*2025-12-18, version 2.4.0*

The app used to be fine, but I can no longer sign in since my Apple IOS Update.

### 5/5 — .

*2025-07-22, version 1.5*

Excelente!!!

### 2/5 — Upload Issues

*2025-07-12, version 1.5*

The mobile app has been unable to transcribe my last few mobile recordings so I lost my notes. It’s unfortunate that I have to record with another app and then upload my recordings on my laptop.

### 5/5 — Review

*2025-07-09, version 1.4*

Amazing App, saves a lot of time .

### 2/5 — Gmail SSO is the worse

*2025-05-15*

The app itself is ok. A bit pricey. All my problems reside with the GMail SSO, especially but not limited to the IOS version. Sometimes the back end takes up to 4 hours to process a report.

**Developer response:** Hi there, thanks for sharing your feedback. We're sorry to hear about the issues you've encountered with Google SSO and report processing times. If you're open to it, please reach out to support@read.ai with more details, we’d love the chance to troubleshoot further and continue improving.

### 5/5 — Game-Changer for Meetings, Just Needs a Few Extra Touches

*2025-04-17*

As an IT Director constantly balancing meetings, projects, and executive communications, Read AI has become an essential part of my daily workflow. The automatic meeting summaries, sentiment tracking, and performance metrics help me get clarity without replaying full recordings — which saves time and improves alignment.

What really stands out is how it tracks key moments and engagement in real time. I’ve used other tools like Zoom AI Companion and Microsoft Copilot, but Read AI is more intuitive, clear, and consistent. I especially appreciate the Daily Readout Updates and Weekly Kickoff emails that keep me informed across multiple projects and teams — they help me refocus, plan, and stay ahead.

That said, I’d love to see a few enhancements that would really take Read AI to the next level:
	•	AirPlay and Chromecast support so I can stream my readouts or video summaries onto larger screens.
	•	Google Assistant and Alexa Skills to have the Daily Readout and Weekly Kickoff read aloud in the morning, as part of my routine.
	•	A “How to Get More From Read AI” page with usage tips, workflow templates, and integrations would also be great for deepening the value of the tool.

Overall, Read AI is one of the most useful AI tools in my stack. I highly recommend it for professionals who want to move fast, stay organized, and free their minds for higher-level work.

**Developer response:** Hi there,

Thanks for sharing your feedback and glad to hear you're enjoying Read! I have forwarded this to our Product team, who appreciates user input and takes it into consideration when planning and prioritizing our development roadmap.

### 5/5 — Bom aplicativo.

### 5/5 — It lets me focus on the people!

*2025-02-28*

I used the IOS app for Read in an interview because my computer was on the fritz and it was exactly what I was looking for!

Read was able let me talk with the person across the table from me instead of focusing on note taking.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — App not working

*2025-12-04, version 2.3.1*

Usually it works but it’s not working at all and a blurred screen and I downloaded it a second time to see if it will work again.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2025-11-27, version 2.3.1*

I do not wish to share access to my calendar so cannot use use this app. Seems to give you the choice of what to allow but if you do not allow it goes on a loop. Is this only useable if something is in my calendar? I don’t like the idea of giving an app not just access to my calendar but also ability to change it.

Beyond this… app is not set up for mobile screens. On opening page of app is record button (won’t work if you don’t sign in and give access to your calendar) and another button I cannot read as it is is cut-off and screen does not scroll.

No other options,no help/support

### 1/5 — Disappointing App Experience

*2025-11-13*

Really disappointed in the app. I sign in with google, and it renders a browser version of the app over the background of the app itself. Can never actually use the Read AI app. Deleting this and just using it through my Mac. Sorely disappointed I can’t access reports on the go.

**Developer response:** Hi there, we’re sorry to hear about the issue you’ve experienced with the mobile app. If redownloading the app doesn't resolve the problem, please reach out to support@read.ai with a screenshot of what you’re seeing so we can investigate and address it as quickly as possible.

### 1/5 — Much to be desired

*2025-09-19*

After reading all these reviews, I thought Read AI would be perfect for taking notes and transcripts. However, that appears not to be the situation. In order to use this application, you must sync a calendar to it, but what happens if you want to do an impromptu meeting and the meeting isn't in your calendar.. Then what?

I haven't been able to get the app configured because I'm not able to get past connecting it to a Google or Outlook calendars; but if I don't have either one then what am I supposed to do?

It seems to me as this app just wants your contacts and calendar details. I've written to support, and hopefully they could provide more detail details as to how. To navigate within their app and to make it function as a note, taking AI that can generate summaries.
I don't do web meetings and I don't have a calendar so is this app actually able to function without those two parameters? As of right now, I don't believe so hopefully support can provide more clarity. Very disappointed.

**Developer response:** Hi there, thanks for reaching out! Read requires a calendar to be connected upon account creation in order to detect upcoming meetings and determine proper access permissions for reports based on meeting participants. If you’re able to connect a calendar, you can still capture impromptu meetings on iOS by just opening the app and pressing Record.

If you don’t use Google, Outlook, or Zoom calendars, we understand the onboarding flow may be frustrating. We appreciate you flagging this, and we’ll pass your feedback along to our team, who appreciates user input when planning and prioritizing our development roadmap.

### 1/5 — UX needs work

*2025-05-29*

Overall the recording and AI are great but the app on iPhone is miserable as is the website. Funny that basic keyword search is so difficult whereas the ai search is not.

Also their video player is miserable.

I say this as a paying corporate user that continues to use the app but this should be mentioned.

**Developer response:** Thanks for reaching out and sharing your feedback! We're sorry to hear you're experiencing issues with playback and other functions. Your input is valuable as we continue to make improvements. If you have any specific details to share or need further assistance, please feel free to contact us at support@read.ai!

### 1/5 — App scam

*2025-02-20, version 1.0.9*

This is an App scam, only need an app to create some audio notes, an i cant continue because everytime is forcing me to connect to a calendar. Shameful

### 1/5 — Terrible & Useless

*2025-01-28, version 1.0.9*

ReadAI is a terrible program, the mobile uploads very rarely work and when you escalate to support, you get an arrogant response from someone who should assist you. I see no reason in paying for something that does not work and never being able to resolve a problem. Run for the hills!

### 1/5 — Privacy Concerns ‼️

*2025-01-20, version 1.0.9*

Be sure to read all the privacy & Ts & Cs before using the app.

Personally I found all the data mining, & profiling alarming & unnecessary for the app functionality hence opted to delete the app.

### 1/5 — App loading

*2024-12-09*

The app is inactive after downloading.

### 1/5 — Promising, if it worked

*2024-10-22, version 1.0*

Recorded a meeting and got stuck uploading and ended up losing my recording. It’s a great concept, just get it to work properly!

### 5/5 — Excellent app for note taking

*2025-11-05*

Love the app. Whether linked to calendar or used on the phone, this is excellent stuff. Love it. Much much better than Otter.

### 5/5 — Excellent! Easy. Love it

*2025-09-05, version 2.0.0*

App is easy to navigate and is feature rich.

### 5/5 — Copilot with all integrations is an improved workflow

*2025-08-04, version 1.6.2*

Once you have all your integrations set up you can prompt with copilot and it’s very practical and useful. If only I could get all call recording transcripts I’d have no blind spots when it comes to integrating work with copilot. Very powerful. Very practical. I hope it expands and embraces its full capabilities.
