I’ve been looking for an app my daughter and her friends can use together for a summer reading challenge but not being able to add books themselves makes this unusable for me. ### 2/5 — disappointed *2020-09-14* so i bought this app during quarantine as a way to easily track my reading and set goals for myself to make sure i can finish my book by when i want. with this new update, i can’t even do that. i have to PAY $25 JUST to track my reading?? especially when it cost nothing before my app just updated?!?! if they are going to include 30 minutes of reading as a goal, at least let us choose if we want a time goal or page goal. super disappointing. don’t have the money to pay and will be deleting the app on my devices. ### 1/5 — iBooks already tracks your reading quota *2020-04-07* This app is a waste of space. ### 1/5 — £12 for a reading log? *2020-04-07, version 1.0.29* I can do this for free on a piece of paper. Seems like a scam to get your appleid login ### 1/5 — Can’t start reading *2024-05-31* Where it say start reading. You cannot click it, it’s locked but there is t a way to unlock it; no subscription details nada, so if this was free why can’t it be accessed, you can only add or remove a book but to show how much progress you’ve made in a book, it can’t be done unfortunately. ### 1/5 — Not all books can be added *2023-02-19, version 2.0.16* I searched for a few different books to add and it didn’t find them. I’m guessing those books aren’t in whatever database this pulls from but the app also doesn’t given you the option at add them manually. These weren’t books that aren’t well known, they’re pretty popular so I’m surprised they couldn’t be found. An example was it didn’t find any books by the Author John Marrs. I can’t rate anything else about the app as couldn’t add a book to try it out! ### 1/5 — Missing a book *2022-05-11* You do not have the book Breath Less by Amy McCulloch in your gallery: can you please add it? ### 1/5 — Horrible *2021-12-29* It took me 8 tries to even be able to put my passcode in. Trying to set how many pages I’d read was a joke. The slider is useless. The search bar took another 5 taps before responding. I was so annoyed by those issues I won’t pay to even be able to track my reading. **Developer response:** There is an update out which improves the search bar and the slider! I couldn’t tell you if it works well or not because I only was able to add one book before it had prompted me TWICE to pay the premium. I will not be paying 32.99 dollars a year when this app ONLY tracks reading goals and stats. You are unable to do ANYTHING on this without paying. If this app was free to use (no need to buy the expensive premium for what little this app is meant to do) or even if it only cost a few dollars on the apple store or if the cost was a couple dollars to use yearly? Then I would have been very happy to use this frequently. I really enjoy the timer feature. I could see the developers to use this data to possibly get a page per hour/minutes. One thing I would really like to see is the addition of multiple books instead of a single book as I tend to jump between different books. **Developer response:** So glad for the feedback. I’ve been waiting for the features rolls out in the premium subscription for a minute now, so it was great to see them added. However, $25/year is overpriced compared to similar apps. I would reconsider if the subscription was cheaper or if there was an affordable OTP lifetime unlock. ### 3/5 — Only One Book *2020-07-30* The interface is great, but you can only track a single book at one time. If you try to add another book, it will replace the first and completely erase all the tracked data for the first book. **Developer response:** You can now track multiple books! I read books on my iPad and switch to my reader app to read. When I go back to report how many pages, it stops the timer. So it feels pointless.
