However, I am unable to apply any of these coins to read a locked chapter. These stories are danged expensive enough as it is. I don’t want to purchase more coins to add to what I already have so I can unlock the chapter. And after doing the math I found that I’d have to pay far, far more than any paperback or online book [obviously]. It also steals free stories from platforms like Wattpad and then profits of the hard work of actual authors who have great books but not a whole lot of recognition. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM!!!!! ### 1/5 — Obnoxiously priced books *2023-10-30* In order to read one full book I would have had to spend $99. That’s absolutely ludicrous. I’m just going to sweetly the app. I would pay up to $40 for a fiction chapter book and I still feel that’s steep. I honestly don’t understand how they have anyone able to afford to read the books on here. Books was good tho! ### 1/5 — Mixed up wording as soon as you buy a chapter *2023-10-22* A read the first 4 chapters of a book, then upon buying coins the next chapter changed the words and it’s all mixed up. There are also no authors notes on the books so appears to be content that isn’t actually there’s? Very frustrated as I’ve clear the cache in their app and still hasn’t fixed the issue. ### 1/5 — Expensive & not working *2023-10-20, version 1.0* You need to purchase chapters to read books, but the chapters are so expensive! You can earn points which you can then redeem for reward coins, but they’re of so little value that the app practically forces you to buy coins to read a book. 5 chapters cost $10 - completed, traditionally published ebooks are way cheaper. Also, some of the actions you need to do to earn points don’t work, again meaning you need to purchase coins to read a chapter. I do not recommend this app. ### 1/5 — Read4fun *2023-10-19* Got a few rewards points but the app never c let me use them. I assume this means you can only use the points you purchase. Why have points for checking in and reading time if you can not use them to open chapters. My work, as well as a few of my friends’ works have been stolen and put behind an in-app paywall. A book that I wrote on another platform Months back that is copyrighted and under contract is published on this app with another book that is not the sequel to it attached as book 2 that is someone else’s book not connected. None of the authors are credited or even mentioned. Apps like this is what makes authors lose their passion. Edit: my novel is somehow back on this app. For those who try to read “The Luna Queens Fight” it is published on Amazon. THERE IS ONLY 1 BOOK! I am currently working on book 2 so idk whose book is attached to it on this app. This app really needs to do research on books before allowing people to make money off of other people’s hard work. ### 1/5 — Disappointed & Mad *2024-04-01* I downloaded this app so I could read one of the stories that popped up on my FB page. It caught my attention and so like every other book app I have I gave this one a chance. It all was good until I could no longer use my bonus points to open chapters for free. I emailed the company and was told I had to purchase coins because I couldn’t use bonus points anymore for this one story. That just doesn’t seem right and a total ripe off. I will look for this story in one of my other book apps because sometimes the author has them on multiple apps. If not then oh well. I will not be forced to purchase something when I should be allowed to use my bonus points no matter how much a chapter cost. ### 1/5 — Stolen Work *2024-02-21* DO NOT GET THIS APP! Several authors I follow have had their work stolen from the platforms they post on and published on this app. They do not post their work on these Pay to Read apps and the app refuses to remove their work and is profiting without crediting the authors! Plus they charge ridiculous amounts to complete a book, upward of $100 or more. ### 1/5 — Super expensive *2024-02-07, version 1.0* Fairmount of the stories are really good but oh my gosh it's super expensive like $50 top up and you don't even get a full book. ### 1/5 — Review *2024-01-24* The book I am ready is very good but this app is absurdly expensive!! Each chapter costs so many coins and isn’t very long! It is ridiculous how much you have to spend for just a few chapters. The books are good but having to spend over $30 for a few chapters is ridiculous. I will not be reading anymore books on this app. ### 1/5 — To expensive and freezes *2023-12-30* As the book goes on the chapters are getting more expensive to the point where one chapter is over 300points which is crazy. Yes they have a daily reward system but it takes weeks to collect the amount needed and by the time you have collected they expire.
