### 1/5 — New update has killed this app

*2016-09-20*

I really, really want to give this app five stars. Unfortunately, since the new update, I have found that this app no longer works. My daughter loved this app and has been devastated that she can't work on her reading skills since the update I'm I'll hit on the button and it'll come up it'll say the company name and then the screen just goes black and doesn't load the app I've tried rebooting my iPad, i've tried uninstalling and then reinstalling and I am getting the same results. You guys really need to put out an update to try to fix these issues.

### 2/5 — Confusing narrator makes app hard to use

*2017-03-20*

This is a well-designed app and my 5 year old really enjoys it, but the machine-generated narrator can be very difficult to understand. Pronunciations of '-d' and '-t' are nearly indistinguishable. Words like 'Hat' and 'Had' are pronounced the same and this creates a lot of unneeded confusion and frustration. I would not recommend buying this app until it's fixed.

### 3/5 — Great app but...

*2017-04-01*

This has the potential to be a great reading app. Unfortunately the graphic design is not very engaging for kids.

### 3/5 — Great app, but...

*2017-03-28*

I agree with the previous reviews that it's hard to distinguish what the voice is saying.
The platform is great though. We just have to make sure one of us is helping our 5 year old while he's working on it to help him hear what's being said.

### 3/5 — Great app but hard to understand certain words

*2017-02-12*

This is a good app but could easily be a great app but for the fact that certain words are very difficult for my four year old to understand. The voice in the app, which sounds very similar to Siri, is sometimes difficult for even me to hear. "Pot" sounds like "pod" for example and sometimes it takes the both of us a couple tries before we get the correct word. This results in game rewards being taken away which is really frustrating for the both of us. The voice reading is also very robotic and off-putting. All in all a decent app for $3, but it could be a lot better.

### 3/5 — Has Been a Great App

*2016-09-08*

My daughter has been cruising through this app and we've loved it. But she has run into issues tonight after yesterday's update. The new iOS Text voice reading has some pronunciation issues that are throwing her off. It's frustrating to watch her struggle with things that didn't give her trouble before the update. Even my wife and I have had trouble deciphering what words the app wants her to spell in Lesson 13.

We've loved this app, but haven't been happy with this update so far.

### 4/5 — Teaching my daughter to read

*2017-10-28*

My daughter attends a montessori school and this app is consistent with how they are taught in school. She is doing great so far. I think it’s very useful and helps with letter and word recognition. My only complaint is the voice is a little hard to understand. She sounds like Siri so a parent should be present to help repeat the word so your child can understand.

### 4/5 — Awesome Concept, But Speech Hinders Execution

*2017-07-28*

This has the potential to me by all-time favorite reading app. I'm a kindergarten teacher with a degree in EdTech. I have tried hundreds of apps in my classroom to help my students master letters and sounds on the journey to reading fluency. This one could easily be the best, were it not for the robotic pronunciation riddled with errors. My students were constantly asking me to listen to words, because they couldn't tell what the voice was saying. In the final position, d and t sound exactly alike. Need a voice for your app? I volunteer! If you get the voice fixed, this app would be stellar.

### 4/5 — Pretty good

*2016-08-05*

For the most part, this app works well to teach beginning reading. At times, the computerized voice is so difficult to understand that it doesn't sound like English at all. This can be discouraging because the child may miss a word not because s/he couldn't read it but because s/he didn't know what it said. The stories are long, uninteresting, and too many of them.

### 5/5 — Perfect for preschoolers

*2017-02-09*

Introduced this app to my 4.5 yr old son and he really enjoys it. He likes the "rewards" he attains at the bottom of the screen when he gets the answers correct. He's having fun while reinforcing the reading skills he's currently developing. Highly recommend this app for preschoolers.

### 5/5 — Exceptional App for Kids

*2016-10-01*

I love this app. My 3 1/2 year old enjoys learning to read and write with it. Initially I purchased it because my son loves tracing letters but he progressed to reading and writing all by himself. Its simplicity and easy learning techniques make it fun and enjoyable to use. I highly recommend this app, well worth the purchase.

### 5/5 — Love it

*2016-09-14*

This app helps all ages learn how to read and remember everything you've read.

### 5/5 — Fantastic App!!!

*2016-07-09*

After 18 months of useless and expensive preschool education, our daughter barely knew her ABCs. After only a few lessons with this app, our 4 year old is reading words. I am positive she will be reading after the full 20 lessons are complete. This is an outstanding educational tool for young kids 3 yrs and up. Well worth the $2.99. I'm actually surprise its not more. The most WORTHWHILE APP I have ever purchased -- HANDS DOWN!!!

### 5/5 — Fantastic

*2016-07-05*

My 4 yr old loves this app. He has never been so excited about learning to read. Stunning design and thoughtfully composed lessons. Costs $3, probably worth $50.

### 5/5 — Excellent app for kids

*2016-07-03*

I am choosy when it comes to the games that my children play online. I would see ot it that it is purely educational so that they would learn while having fun. And this app impressed me a lot. My toddler loves it and she sould request that if possible she can play with it every day. For those who have toddlers and kids I would recommend this one. This is one great app for learning to write and read and it is safe for children

### 5/5 — A lot of content, elegant design

*2016-07-02*

The app has a lot of content and really approaches teaching nicely.
I also quite like the overall graphical and audio design of the app, and the ability to choose different voices.

### 5/5 — Lovely app for kids💕

*2016-07-01*

This app works perfectly and graphics of the interface and controls are very simple. Lovely educational app for kids.
