## What is ReadBack AI?

Nervous about talking to ATC? You're not alone. Radio communication is one of the biggest challenges for student pilots — and one of the hardest to practice outside the cockpit.

ReadBack gives you a realistic, voice-based ATC training environment powered by AI. Speak into your mic, hear controllers respond with authentic radio-filtered voices, and get detailed feedback on your phraseology after each session.

HOW IT WORKS

Pick a scenario — from a simple Class D departure to a busy Class B arrival. ReadBack generates a unique ATC session using real airport data, real procedures, and dynamic conditions like weather changes and traffic complications. No two sessions are the same.

You talk. The AI controller listens, responds, and keeps the session moving — just like real ATC. After you finish, you get a detailed evaluation of your readbacks, phraseology, and communication flow.

REAL AIRPORTS, REAL PROCEDURES

Train at actual airports including JFK, LAX, SAN, SFO, and SMO. Every scenario uses real runways, taxiways, and frequencies. Controllers address you by your aircraft callsign, just like they would on a real frequency.

BUILT FOR STUDENT PILOTS

ReadBack is designed around the moments that make student pilots nervous:

· Your first solo tower communication
· Navigating a busy Class B or C airspace
· Handling unexpected instructions like go-arounds and hold-short
· Checkride preparation with realistic ATC exchanges

THREE DIFFICULTY LEVELS

Easy: 3-5 exchanges — perfect for your first time talking to tower
Medium: 6-10 exchanges — pattern work, departures, and arrivals
Hard: 12-20 exchanges — complex scenarios with complications and traffic

AI-POWERED FEEDBACK

Your evaluation comes after the session, not during it — so you can focus on flying the radio, not chasing a score. Each session review breaks down what you said, what ATC expected, and where you can improve.

WHAT MAKES READBACK DIFFERENT

Unlike scripted training apps, ReadBack uses AI to generate every session dynamically. Weather changes, runway assignments, traffic levels, and complications are all generated in context. This means you practice adapting to real-world variability, not memorizing a script.

The ATC voice includes a radio filter effect, so you train your ear for how instructions actually sound on frequency.
