### 4/5 — Would like to like this app.

*2025-12-06, version 3.18.2*

Unfortunately, it requires the Reddit login screen and this old iPad just won't do it. May I have a refund?

### 3/5 — Update soon!

*2025-02-15, version 3.18.2*

For some reason it won’t load consistently or with the same amount of time (sometimes 6 months is available, sometimes 4, sometimes 1 month, sometimes 2, etc.)

### 3/5 — Used to work well.

*2024-06-09, version 3.18.2*

Used to be good.

Now I can no longer post a comment with it, nor make a posting.

Error message is totally useless: “something went wrong.”

Seriously? Be descriptive in errors, please.

### 2/5 — Fix the api limits

*2023-12-01, version 3.18.2*

Constantly saying it can’t load info, and it’s very frustrating to use

### 2/5 — Please fix audio leak and add hide read setting

*2023-11-09*

I used to love this app and paid for it - I love how I can swipe between posts and the clean interface. Unfortunately it has not been updated in 2 years and bugs are starting to show up.

My main issue is that the audio from one post continues to play when you have scrolled past it, and even after opening a different post audio from the old post continues to play which can be extremely frustrating.

Finally because of the bugs, I have to restart / go back to home often which forces me to scroll endlessly to find the spot I left - it would be great to have an option to hide read posts to fix these issues. Thank you!

### 2/5 — Glitchy

*2023-09-24, version 3.18.2*

Like some of the other reviewers, I too paid for this app before I realized it hasn’t been updated in 2 years. It is very glitchy. Some times it doesn’t work at all, most of the time comments don’t load. It’s a bummer because it’s one of the best Reddit apps left after Reddit killed Apollo.

### 2/5 — Not working most of the time.

*2023-07-27, version 3.18.2*

Whenever I open the app, I am constantly greeted with “something went wrong”.

### 1/5 — Bad

*2023-07-08, version 3.18.2*

I hate these clients who blocks you from logging in behind a paywall, while having a worst UI than the default official app

### 1/5 — fix the audio pls

*2023-06-09, version 3.18.2*

fun fact that i upgrade to premier before i just found there is an unacceptable issue🤡

### 3/5 — Paid but no sign In With Apple

*2022-12-10, version 3.18.2*

Found this via a N Best Reddit Apps article.

Liked the initial experience so sprung for the paid version.

There's no support for Sign In With Apple and zero response from the author.

Bummed.

### 3/5 — Not bad but needs more formatting options

*2022-11-25, version 3.18.2*

Pretty decent app, and I love being able to browse from my TV. But for iOS it desperately needs more options when posting and commenting. add the option for code blocks, in-line code, quotes, ordered lists and unordered lists and it would easily be a 5star app

### 3/5 — Awkward navigation

*2022-10-16, version 3.18.2*

There are some good things going on with this app. But the navigation in this app is mind bending. It doesn’t seem to stay in the two column layout. Settings could be simplified, hiding search behind a menu is a strange choice. I hope future updates simplify app navigation a little more. Maybe see how system apps use the two column layout and replicate it here.

### 1/5 — Reddit login is NOT free

*2022-10-05, version 3.18.2*

Only download it if you cannot install other Reddit clients.

### 1/5 — Something Changed - Unusable

*2022-09-19, version 3.18.2*

I can no longer move through posts one at a time. The posts skip down about 4 or 5 at a time, and I I cannot navigate to or open any posts except for the one it lands on. I used to use this app every day…now it’s unusable. I am using Apple TV 4k and the Apple remote that came with it.I do not think it is my set up I think maybe Apple changed some thing that makes the app perform different right now.

### 1/5 — This all crashes on me frequently

*2022-08-13, version 3.18.2*

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but this seems excessive.

### 1/5 — Need to pay just to login?

*2022-07-10, version 3.18.2*

Seriously? Just found the quickest way to get your app deleted. Why would I pay if I can’t even figure out if I like the features?

### 1/5 — Misses the mark too much

*2022-06-27, version 3.18.2*

Auto playing videos play at full blast volume with no way to mute. There is no way to search within a subreddit. The r/Readder subreddit is pretty much completely ignored by the developer.

This app is so close to being decent, but with such details overlooked, it becomes apparent how abandoned this app is.

### 1/5 — You gotta pay to login!!!

*2022-05-13, version 3.18.2*

I hate iOS greedy weird devs. One thing about iOS devs, y’all gone find a way to overcharge for free features!!

### 1/5 — No updates

*2022-05-04, version 3.18.2*

I was going to pay the upgrade until I saw this app is no longer supported.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work anymore

*2026-05-14, version 3.18.2*

App developers seemed to stop updating paid money and app doesn’t work. Will change if it’s fixed.

### 1/5 — Leider keine Möglichkeit die Sprache einzurichten

*2026-04-24, version 3.18.2*

### 1/5 — Reader for Reddit

*2026-03-25, version 3.18.2*

REFUND ME

### 1/5 — App Immediately Crashes

*2026-02-19, version 3.18.2*

For years this was a great app for viewing Reddit, but has gradually gotten worse due to neglect and zero updates from the developer. It now no longer functions at all. Immediately crashing upon startup. I’ve tried everything and can’t get it to open anymore.

### 1/5 — Completely abandoned app

*2024-04-30, version 3.18.2*

Can’t login and nothing works

### 1/5 — It’s just broken

*2024-04-02, version 3.18.2*

Won’t let me add a new account - buttons for accepting terms don’t work

### 1/5 — Not Much Works

*2024-02-16, version 3.18.2*

About the only thing working right in this app is the IAP.

### 1/5 — Paid to login. Login Broken!

*2024-01-27, version 3.18.2*

App is broken. Needs to be updated

### 1/5 — Needs update

*2023-12-09, version 3.18.2*

The app regularly fails to load comments and messages for no discernible reason. I’m guessing that in the two years since the last update something was broken on Reddit’s side and needs to be accounted for. Although, no api charges currently ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

### 1/5 — Not worth the money.

*2023-11-07, version 3.18.2*

The app fails to load any Reddit data for 2-5 minutes before randomly working again. I have tried everything I could think, and even contacted support, to no response. This app isn’t worth it.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Shut Down Three Years After Others

*2026-02-18, version 3.18.2*

While most Reddit apps got the plug pulled back in June of 2023, Readder continued working until today. RIP Readder.

### 5/5 — Excellent!

*2021-10-06, version 3.18.2*

Moved over from Narwhal due to the amount of data collected, found this (which does not collect data) and wish I’d have done it sooner! Upgraded to support devs 🙏

### 5/5 — Best Reddit Client!

*2021-01-24, version 3.18.2*

Been using this since Beta, and I like it more than the other competitors. It’s easy to use and offers a lot. Definitely check it out!

### 5/5 — A+ Developer

*2021-01-20, version 3.18*

Fixed the scrolling issue really fast, it introduced another problem of not being allowed to click on links in comment - but saw on the subreddit the developer already had another update planned out for release to fix.

By far the best Reddit app to use, a lot of customizability and is pretty much everything you can ask for.

### 5/5 — The BEST Reddit browser!!!

*2020-10-10, version 3.16*

All the features.. better than slide or comet etc

### 5/5 — Nice app

*2020-05-12, version 3.15*

I would love to see support for redgifs.com links now that they are integrated with reddit.

### 5/5 — No support, no help

*2020-01-17, version 3.15*

Paid for this months ago and it now suddenly says iv3 not got the paid version. Contacted help a bunch of times but absolutely nothing back. Don’t bother paying for this, use Narwhal instead - its much, much better and they keep improving it, not like this abandonware..

### 5/5 — Black screens

*2019-10-22, version 3.15*

Needs to update to ios 13, this is a paid app not free trash

### 5/5 — This is great but terrible at the same time.

*2019-10-20, version 3.14*

This is still great and terrible, but I have changed my review and rating. Still crashes sometimes and I face glitches, still on the pro version. It still has a lot of great features and it works well on mobile. I still face crashes and such when linking to certain website. The irreversible black screen still comes but is less common. Will change to five stars when issues are minimal. Keep up the good work guys, paying for pro is still worth it though y’all.

### 5/5 — Review 5/5

*2019-10-19, version 3.14*

The developers are very responsive. Don’t be afraid to submit a bug.
