There is an ad after each chapter, but I can deal with that. No other reading app I’ve tried allowed me to even get past the original ad read without wanting me to spend money. I am grateful and cautiously optimistic! The stories are poorly written. Grammar is horrific with pronouns constantly confused. Storylines are very soap opera like. Logic and consistency are absent. 2. Books are broken down into ridiculously short chapters. This causes you to be force fed horrible repetitive advertising between each chapter or pay to skip ads. The book I read had almost 200 chapters. Books on Kindle Unlimited or through your library online services offer better value and better books. 3. The ads are obnoxious. Most involve a video that you must watch all the way through, then a screen pops up urging you to buy the product. A timer forces you to stay on the page for about 10 seconds. Finally a button will appear so you can progress to the next page. You will normally be stuck on this page, another sales pitch, for several seconds. Finally an x will appear and you can click to return to the story. If you are a fairly fast reader the time to complete each ad requirement is longer than the time to read a chapter. 4. Sometimes the app freezes during the ad and you have to exit the app and perhaps restart your phone. 5. The products being repeatedly advertised appear to be subpar and use exaggeration, deception, and a lot of photo editing. Many will try to trap you in some type of subscription. 6. As such, any product that is placed for advertisement in this manner is now on my do not ever buy list. There are quite a few similar apps on the marketplace that have the same low quality books, short chapters, and horrible ads or excessive payment for tokens. You will not know how many tokens you will need to complete a book and the option to simply purchase it outright does not exist. If you go the token route be prepared to pay way more than the book is worth to complete it. If you choose the ad route, be prepared for highly annoying ads for inferior products. ### 1/5 — CEO’s Contract Wife - One Year to Fall *2026-05-01, version 509* Find this app very frustrating, promised continuous reading, get to a certain point and you only get one daily chapter update 5 days a week, however on most occasions that does not happen for instance this week I have received only 1 update which was on Tuesday, it is now Friday. I seen it was updated so I tried it again. In the last few days it keeps freezing up both when trying to get awards & when trying to get next chapter with ads. That date has now been changed to March 18th This info changed at 8:40 pm on the 17th. I read a book to enjoy and this app sucks as you just get into story and you have to watch an ad or wait 2 days or more for more chapters to be posted. But then a book I was half way through reading part of a series disappeared as they decided not to sign the author again. This was changed but they decided not to sign anymore so the series stopped halfway through and when I was informed they would no longer be signing J.
