But with the chip being picked up does that mean that the chip works? I’m from the UK and I go abroad in a few months but I put the passport in with my dirty washing and it got soaked. The pages look okay however, but I was worried about the chip. I was mortified, as he was going on a trip within 3 weeks. The passport itself looked fine other than slight ripples, just wasn’t sure if the chip worked. I downloaded this app and it saved me a trip to the airport, from having to have the agent scan the passport to make sure the chip worked. I waited to write this review until after her went on a few trips. I was really worried the heat might have damaged the chip. Thankfully, this app came to the rescue! ReadID scanned my passport effortlessly and confirmed everything was still working perfectly. Huge relief!
