### 4/5 — Ninjas

*2016-09-30, version 1.0*

Fun app. The kids enjoyed chopping the words. It was a little hard to hear the words at times. It would be nice if you had the option to have words repeated back.

### 4/5 — Ninja words

*2016-09-24, version 1.0*

I like the ability to control the timing and level but I do not understand why when I chose short a words short e words are mixed in. I cannot wait to try it with my students.

### 4/5 — Better than Fruit Ninja

*2016-09-09, version 1.0*

My son loves this game. It's great to see how many words he actually can read. I like that there is a timer, and that you can set the difficulty of the game. It would be nice to customize the words though.

### 4/5 — Cute. Kids enjoy

*2016-09-01, version 1.0*

This is a cute app and the kids enjoy it. My grandchildren have just turned 3 so are not ready for spelling. However it will be a good tool for future use.

### 3/5 — Fun app

*2016-08-01, version 1.0*

Overall a fun and educational app. Some minor improvements in the speed of words and the pronunciation should help.

### 3/5 — Not that impressed

*2016-07-31, version 1.0*

My kids love the slicing action but the words move so fast until the word they are saying is not the word they are currently slicing. I would love to slow it down but there is not an option.

### 4/5 — Wonderful

*2016-07-16, version 1.0*

Great for children just learning to read. Only reason it doesn't get a fifth star is my children tire of it after a short time, since it is a little repetitive.

### 2/5 — Reading Ninja

*2016-07-13, version 1.0*

Good for hand eye coordination, super fun ninja slicing. Not great with keeping not pace with words and recognition-would pop words many up and still be saying just one word that had been missed.

### 4/5 — Great with good options

*2016-07-10, version 1.0*

My son really enjoyed this game and he improved in only a few minutes. The speed at which he was able to identify the words increased very quickly! He struggled to understand some of the words with the strong accent but I have now recorded my own voice saying the words and I think he will find it much easier now. Love the ability to record my own voice and the many options available. As noted by someone else, the J looks like an i which is confusing when just learning to read - if not for this would have given 5 stars

### 4/5 — Great for my son with dyslexia

*2016-04-12, version 1.0*

I enjoyed this app for my son who is 8 with dyslexia. It helped his auditory processing and then to speed up his automatic reading. He enjoyed the slicing of the words like a ninja. I liked under parent controls that I could chose the words for him to concentrate on and the levels.

### 4/5 — Lithgow

*2016-04-10, version 1.0*

Good fun but the j looks like an l in words.
Had to check in settings what the word was.

### 4/5 — Awesome !

*2016-04-03, version 1.0*

So engaging for kids 😀😀

### 4/5 — Sight words

*2016-03-26, version 1.0*

A great alternative than flash cards to help teach their sight words. Just needs more words to be introduced.

### 1/5 — No sound busted app!!!

*2023-10-22, version 1.0*

Don’t buy! No sound to teach kids!!!

### 1/5 — No instructions?

*2019-09-25, version 1.0*

There’s no sound or instructions on how to play. My kid is just touching every word without reading. Is this just an update problem?

### 1/5 — App

*2019-04-18, version 1.0*

I’m not a fan of this app. I wish there were more option for words. But the app is $0.99. 🤷🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️

### 1/5 — No sound?

*2018-08-23, version 1.0*

I don’t get it. How can you play if there is no sound.

### 1/5 — Do not buy

*2017-08-24, version 1.0*

This game has no sound and plays like fruit ninja but with words. It won't teach anything

### 1/5 — Do not buy

*2017-01-30, version 1.0*

It's not worth the money. The game is pointless.

### 1/5 — Reading ninja

*2016-03-06, version 1.0*

So exited to try but will not open on iphone after multiple download attempts.

### 1/5 — Needs fix

*2016-02-02, version 1.0*

App won't open

### 1/5 — Reading ninjas

*2016-02-01, version 1.0*

App does not work
Will not even run on my iPad
If I could give zero stars....I would....

### 2/5 — Frustrating for kids when words overlap

*2017-09-30, version 1.0*

When the words fly across the screen, often times the words overlap ever so slightly and even when tapping the correct word, the game also thinks they tapped the incorrect word as well. Would be better if the words bounced off each other rather than overlapping and avoiding the confusion

### 5/5 — Great practice app

*2016-09-14, version 1.0*

This app is just right for many of my first graders who need extra practice with CVC words. It would be even better if I could add my own words.

### 5/5 — Thanks

Very good and useful app.

### 5/5 — Kids love it!

*2016-07-21, version 1.0*

My 2year old twins love this game. Great way to get the twins to associate words with letters

### 5/5 — Hi. Yaaah!!

*2016-06-27, version 1.0*

Wow, what fun to learn appropriate iPad finger movement as you are entertained by learning to read!! Once again, this teacher of the visually impaired loves the contrast between the background and letters presented, the letter thickness, size & color, and that it is customizable for speed & the number of words presented simultaneously. The lowercase (small) letter j is not curved at the bottom, & this could cause some confusion. Thank you for combining accessible learning with appropriate swiping fun---all in one.:-)

### 5/5 — Excellent and engaging

*2016-05-02, version 1.0*

My students have so much fun using this app!
