## What is ReadingFox?

ReadingFox builds a short daily reading habit for children in Years 3 to 7.

Every session is one story, chosen for your child, followed by a few questions that show whether they actually understood it. Ten minutes, start to finish.

HOW IT WORKS
• Your child reads a story matched to their reading level and their interests
• Any tricky word can be tapped for a kid-friendly definition, read aloud
• A short word check and comprehension questions follow every story
• New words are saved to their Word Vault and come back in later sessions
• When they are consistently getting it, ReadingFox moves them up a level

WRITTEN FOR AUSTRALIAN CLASSROOMS
Reading levels line up with Years 3 to 7. Stories span fiction and non-fiction — animals, mystery, adventure, gross science, sport, nature and history — so there is something your child actually wants to read.

WHAT PARENTS SEE
A dashboard with reading speed, comprehension broken down by question type, vocabulary growth, and reading-level movement over time. Not screen-time statistics — actual reading progress.

GAMES, EARNED
Two games to round off the day's reading. In Word Scramble, every word your child solves is added to their Word Vault. Acorn Bounce, an arcade game, brings back words from the stories they've already read. There's a little free play each day; the rest unlocks once the day's story is read, so the reading comes first.

PRIVACY FIRST
No ads. No third-party tracking. Nothing sold, ever. We ask for a parent's email and a child's first name — that is all. Built by an independent Australian developer.

ONE SUBSCRIPTION, UP TO FOUR CHILDREN
Each child gets their own reading level, interests and progress.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.0.8 — 2026-10-15

Not sure yet? Try a story first — no account needed.

### 1.0.7 — 2026-10-14

Clearer help when an email address has a typo: if something doesn't look right, ReadingFox now tells you what to check instead of showing a general error.

### 1.0.6 — 2026-10-13

When the free trial ends, you'll now see what your child has achieved: stories read, words collected, and words they've mastered. Trial reminders now appear only in the Parent Zone, never on your child's screens, and children are asked to fetch a grown-up instead of seeing prices.

### 1.0.5 — 2026-10-12

• After two stories in a day, ReadingFox now suggests a brain break with Word Scramble or Acorn Bounce. Kids can always keep reading.
• Story ratings now save properly alongside your child's results.
• Clearer help if Sign in with Apple isn't available on a device, with a quick way to sign up by email instead.
• Small fixes and improvements.

### 1.0.4 — 2026-10-11

Setting up a new reader is now easier. Choose whether your child does the quick reading check now, skips it and starts at their school year's level, or saves setup to finish later.
