### 5/5 — This app leads me straight to God’s Word!

*2024-09-01, version 4.5.4*

ReadingPlan is my go to app when I wake up, when I go to bed, and anytime I get ‘bored’. And what better way to spend that time reading the Bible! This app is wonderfully practical and adaptable. I have loaded my own non-dated reading plan into it and it keeps me reading all the time. I actually look forward to being ‘bored’ now. Because I know what I’m going to do next…

Thanks Jim for a genius app!

(Check out his Creeds and Confessions app as well. Also amazing!)

### 4/5 — What I’ve been looking for

*2024-08-12, version 4.5.4*

This wonderful little app enables you to devise your own Bible reading plan linking each reading to the Bible app of your choice. Most of the included plans are date based. My favored plan Six Section plan isn’t, but ReadingPlan handles it quite nicely. Nothing else comes close. I can imagine (and have submitted a request for) some enhancements for non date based plans like mine which is the only reason I’m not rating it 5 stars.

### 5/5 — Just what I was looking for

*2024-04-16*

Bible reading plans abound, but nothing as flexible and customizable as this. I’ve been reading three chapters of Bible daily for decades using six colored ribbons in a physical Bible. Now that I mostly read my Bible digitally on my tablet in a plethora of translations, I wanted a digital version of my six ribbons for my six sections of Law, History, Prophecy, Wisdom, Gospels, and Epistles. I couldn’t find one, so I created it with this amazing tool that also includes many ready made Bible reading plans.

### 5/5 — What I’d been looking for

*2024-01-30*

I’ve been using a simple Bible reading plan for decades that I love. I would simply cycle through six major groupings of the books of the Bible one chapter at a time, three chapters a day. In a physical Bible, I used six ribbon markers to do this. But now that I’m using digital bibles, I hadn’t found a good way to do “digital ribbon” markers until this program.
Yes I created my own “reading plan”. Since it doesn’t assign dates to the readings, it’s technically not a “reading plan”, but the flexibility of this app enables me to do exactly what I want, namely read continuously through Law (Torah), History, Wisdom, Prophets, Gospels, and Epistles one chapter each on alternate days. Thanks, Jim Price!

### 5/5 — This is what I’ve been looking for

*2024-01-11*

I’ve used a daily bible reading plan for years. In a hard copy bible I use 6 ribbons in six sections of the Bible, Law, History, Wisdom, Prophecy, Gospels, and Epistles— alternating 3 chapters one day and 3 the next. Since I currently use online bibles at least two versions for my daily reading, I haven’t found a good digital 6 ribbon substitute until making my own plan with this app. Well done, Mr. Price!

### 5/5 — Finally read through the entire Bible

*2024-01-02, version 4.5.4*

I had wanted to read through the Bible, but could never quite stay on track or even finish. It felt like such a daunting task.

My sister suggested this app because she had used it to read through the Bible a few years in a row. I started it January 2022 and finished early. I read through the Bible again in 2023 and am starting my third year using this app. It’s become part of my morning routine and I love it.

I don’t know if I ever would have read through the entire Bible without this app. If I can do it, you can do it.

### 5/5 — Update for ESV app?

*2023-12-31, version 4.5.4*

Love the Reading Plan app! I have used it for years.

Crossway ESV app was updated recently and now link from RP only opens the ESV app wherever I last read, instead of opening to the correct chapter. Will you be updating RP to work with the updated ESV app?

Thanks in advance 😁

### 5/5 — Simplicity and many plan options

*2023-08-18, version 4.5.4*

Thank you! Love the simple layout and the fact that this includes the M’Cheyne plan!

### 5/5 — Great app

*2023-05-12, version 4.5.4*

This is an awesome app. Love how you can have multiple plans.

Great job!

### 5/5 — Best Bible Reading Plan App

*2023-02-01, version 4.5.4*

Hands down, this is the best Bible reading app for iOS devices. The customer support is responsive and helpful via emails for any questions or problems. This app basically offers every Bible reading plan out there and the hardest part about this app is choosing the right Bible reading plan for yourself.

This app syncs across all my iPads and iPhone. I have been using this app for several years now to do my Grant Horner Bible reading plan (10 chapters a day); and I’ve tried other apps for this reading plan; but this app is the best for my reading plan. It’s easy to use and has many granular features for the avid Bible reading student / teacher.

You can choose virtually any Bible reading iOS app to link with this app (Olive Tree, Youversion, Logos, etc.)

Best of all, this app is free. Download this app if you love reading Gods holy and infallible Word; You will not be disappointed!

### 5/5 — Excellent solid app

*2023-01-22, version 4.5.4*

Been using this for a few years & love this app. Looked at others but this app has the solid reliable simplicity I look for. Used several of the various reading plans & all good. This year took the opportunity to make my own Bible reading plan. The author was a wonderful help to make my plan a reality!

### 4/5 — Undo

*2022-10-08, version 4.5.4*

I’ve loved this app so far. However, I got a new phone and the syncing process was confusing and I ended up accidentally deleting all of my progress. I skipped around a lot in the Bible and have no idea on how far I was through some of the books. I wish there was an undo button. Please word the syncing process better so that it is absolutely clear.

### 4/5 — Almost Perfect!

*2022-09-06, version 4.5.4*

May you please make the double tap marker checkboxing all chapters as read/unread optional?

Pros: It's conveniant and fast

Cons: under numerous circumstances, I have accidently double tapped when all I mean to do is check the ones I have read, not a problem for the smaller books to undo, but for books like proverbs or Psalms, it can be a problem, I will lose track of what I read and didn't read rendering the app moot.

### 5/5 — So many plans!

*2022-08-07, version 4.5.4*

I’ve had this app on my phone for about 10 years and it has so many plans to choose from! I love it. It’s easy to use and I love the variety I can choose from when I want to start a new Bible reading plan each year.

### 5/5 — Limited only by the Bible app developers

*2022-06-06, version 4.5.4*

This app is simple, easy, effective, and easy on device storage. I've submitted a reading plan that wasn't listed (you can make your own with a simple formatted text file and submit it to the developer), and the only limitation I've found with connecting Bible apps is when the developer of the Bible app didn't build in a special URL for their platform.

### 5/5 — In correct placement of the book of Job chronologically

*2022-01-19, version 4.5.4*

Job comes on the scene after Joseph dies

Before Mosses comes on the scene because The Bible describes Job as being a man upright & fearing god & there is no one like him on the earth

Curious to know why you placed the book of Job before Joseph comes up in the book of genesis

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Can never be synced on other bible apps!

*2020-01-08, version 4.5.3*

Horrible experience ! Can’t be synced on other bible apps

### 1/5 — Decent, but bias

*2017-11-01, version 4.2.4*

Not intuitive and doesn’t include the deuterocanonical (apocrypha) books

### 1/5 — Since update - won't start!

*2010-09-18, version 0*

A good app spoiled by last update I have reset my iPod, etc. No joy!

### 2/5 — Reading Plan

*2025-12-24, version 4.5.4*

Does NOT work with an Android phone.
So bummed!!!!

### 2/5 — Latest update

*2020-01-10, version 4.5.3*

I’ve used and loved this app before started reading through the Bible this year but today when I tried to open the app it wouldn’t even open.

### 3/5 — How do you create your own??

*2024-02-22, version 4.5.4*

I’m looking to create my own Bible reading schedule or make an adjustment to the chronological schedule and I can’t figure out how to do it? There’s no button or section that allows you to create your own. The advertisement is not truthful.

### 3/5 — Pretty good

*2019-01-04, version 4.4.1*

It’s nice to have a variety of reading plans. You can manually sync multiple devices. It would be nice to do this through iCloud.

### 3/5 — Great app

*2018-12-31, version 4.4.1*

A great, simple reliable and customisable app
Would be even better if the app could work out a reading rate for example I want to start today and finish in 6 months
Still a great app

### 3/5 — Bug fix required

*2017-03-18, version 4.2.4*

This rating is based on the performance of the app, not the content.

Every once in a while I will open the app and it will have unchecked all my readings and sets the starting date to Jan 1, 1970. It won't let you change it or check off any more readings. The only solution is to delete the app and redownload it. I have done this about 4 or 5 times now. Please fix!

### 4/5 — Glad I found this

*2026-01-02, version 4.5.4*

My old app updated and changed so much it was no longer useful. Perhaps it’s a good thing, because so far I like this one better anyway.
But I wish the text was larger.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — So grateful for this app

*2026-05-08, version 4.5.4*

This app is clearly a ministry effort - free to use, no ads, and no data mining.

Incredibly useful.

### 5/5 — THE BEST

*2026-01-05, version 4.5.4*

I’ve used this app for years and years and it’s truly stood the test of time. No bells and whistles. No ads. Just simple plans that link to my ESV app. Sometimes I click and listen. Sometimes I read in my Bible and check it off. It’s fantastic and has helped me get more time in the Word.

### 5/5 — RPR

*2025-09-09, version 4.5.4*

What powerful tools for staying committed to your Bible reading plan!

### 5/5 — The easy way to read Coptic church readings

### 5/5 — Excellent!!

*2025-05-23, version 4.5.4*

Just what I was looking for. Has a Thematic Bible Reading Plan. Can link reading plans directly to different Bible Reading Apps & Websites like Olive Tree & Logos. Excellent!!

### 5/5 — Ideal

*2025-01-08, version 4.5.4*

This app does exactly what I wanted. It opens directly to the readings of the day, with boxes ready to be checked off. No multiple screens to wade through, no interrupting ads. It can be set up for several different plans, and the start date can even be backdated. Thanks for an excellent, clean, and very helpful app.

### 5/5 — Fantastic and simple app

*2025-01-07, version 4.5.4*

I've used this for a number of years. It is simple, elegant and gives you access to a raft of different Bible reading plans.

I tried YouVersion this year but found it was glitchy on the iPhone and so reverted to this app. It just works perfectly.

Thanks so much!

### 5/5 — Best M’Cheyne Bible reading app

*2025-01-01, version 4.5.4*

This is an excellent Bible reading app. Interface is simple and effective with just enough personalization to help the user adjust for their own preferred Bible version.

My absolute favorite M’Cheyne Bible reading app.

Thank you to the developer for making this available.

### 5/5 — Best Bible Plan App

*2024-12-03, version 4.5.4*

Amazing Bible app. Helps me keep track of my daily reading. It is incredible easy to use, and there are a ton of plans available to choose from. The developer is also extremely nice and helpful with any questions at all. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a Bible reading tracking app. It is a must have for anyone wanting to get their daily bread.

### 5/5 — Used daily for years

*2024-11-18, version 4.5.4*

I use this to track my Bible reading every day. You can mark the verse you get up to and then the next time it takes you to where you left off. No guilt for where you get to or need to have to catch up on missing days. Plenty of plans to choose from.
