This is a great idea, but none of the features work. The app doesn’t remember the stories that are read (“learned”). The flash card features don’t work. 
If the features worked aside from the reading it would be more convenient and helpful.

I always wanted to read in German. This app has good small stories and translation to English. One problem is it gets stuck while reading.

Very helpful in keeping you stay on track with your French language journey. No matter how busy you are you can easily study especially the vocabulary because it won’t tale so much of your time.

In this app you can read a variety of short texts, magazine-like in nature, and hear them read aloud. There are comprehension questions, vocab lists and a couple of grammar points for each text. While I enjoy switching among languages, I had hoped for much greater stylistic variety and a more thoughtful set of questions and grammatical points. The main advantage lies in letting readers have easy access to texts that they can also hear read, and very nicely read, too.

Readle gives you the tools to the real work of language learning.

If you want to actually speak a new language, you need to read it hear it and speak it.  No gamify that. 

Readle is the tool set you need if you’re serious about learning.  Hands down the best available. I shadow the speaker relentlessly, drill each phonetic, then test my pronunciation with text to speech. Readle is empowering this critical practice routine. Highly recommended to any serious student of language.

Not only are you acquiring knowledge from the basic stories, but each individual word is translated, instead of just the thought, as you’d have with many other apps. For English speakers this is very helpful (or perhaps anyone learning a new language period). When I use Google Translate, I don’t always understand what each word is and it takes more work to break down each sentence and phrase. Though an excellent source, I find Readle superior with its grammatical explanations and nice little quizzes at the end. When I find myself in a more advanced category, I will certainly be purchasing! A big thanks to these app developers for creating such a helpful app.
