TRACK YOUR READING
Log pages as you go and watch your progress in real time. Add books by searching or by scanning the barcode on the back cover. Organize everything into Currently Reading, Finished, Want to Read, and Did Not Finish.

BUILD A READING STREAK
Your home screen shows your reading streak, a daily heatmap, and all the books you're actively reading. Everything you need to stay motivated and pick up where you left off.

READING CHALLENGES
Join curated challenges across genre, author, era, and award winners - from Stephen King's complete works to the BookTok essentials to the 2025 Hugo winners. Or create your own challenge and share it with friends. Track your progress book by book and earn a badge when you finish.

MONTHLY RECAPS
Create a beautiful, shareable reading recap any time of year. Choose from multiple themes and layouts to highlight your books read, pages logged, and stats. Save to your camera roll or share directly.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.6.0 — 2026-10-14

Improved new user experience when onboarding to Readstead

### 1.5.0 — 2026-10-12

- Author pages: a header with the author's bio and its sources, a "Most popular" cover row, a "your shelf" card showing how many of their books you've read, and their full book list with filter chips. You can shelve books straight from the page, and the rating prompt and badge pop-ups appear there too.
- Tappable author names on book pages: each credited author links to their page, and non-author roles such as translator or illustrator are labelled.
- Send Feedback: a new Help section in Settings lets you report a bug or suggest an idea. The app version, OS and device model are attached automatically.

### 1.4.1 — 2026-10-03

Your monthly reading recap got a makeover! Try the new Shelf layout, which gives each book its own row with its cover, rating and finish date. It's great for months when you read a few standout books. Recaps also have a cleaner header, star ratings under each cover, and a new Daylight theme that matches the app.

### 1.4.0 — 2026-09-30

- Discover the most popular books by genre
- Import your reading history from Hardcover
- Other import improvements and fixes

### 1.3.1 — 2026-09-23
