This extension was inexpensive and it sounds very natural. I’m so glad I found this! ### 5/5 — GIVE IT A TRY IF YOU LOVE LISTENING WHILE WORKING *2024-01-07* I was skeptical at first because it only had 2 reviews and I wasn't able to translate what they were saying. However it is only $1.99 so I said F it and I'll just try it out. I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO HAPPY WITH A PURCHASE AS MUCH AS THIS ONE. No thanks! Total waste of $2.99. **Developer response:** First of all, the prompt is a system prompt, not a function of the software. Secondly, I don't have the technical strength to ask for your password. My technical level is very poor. Please feel free to use it. ### 2/5 — Dissapointed *2025-09-09* It managed to read a camera guide. I need a reader that can handle most web pages and articles. Studying would go much faster if this worked. It could not read an article from the Met website. **Developer response:** Import the web page to the app. Try it. ### 2/5 — Disappointing word dividing *2024-11-03* A lot of missed potential. There is no regard to word structure when a chunk of text is processed. Words are chopped in half and tacked onto the next segment of speech. Even a simple 2-letter word might be split in half. For instance, a segment of text that reads “take your daughter to school Monday” might come out “take your daughter T [‘tee’]”…. “O [‘oh’] school Monday.” That simple word parsing improvement would make this a much better text to speech tool. Sadly, it appears the extension hasn’t been updated in a long time. **Developer response:** Your comment touched me. I have solved this problem. Thank you. Please update the latest version. ### 3/5 — Weird word dividing behavior *2024-06-07* This wasn't useful to me. The reason is that it often, seemingly arbitrarily, divided a word at the end of a line and so ended up with two non-words. Example: if a line ended with the word "from", it would make the last word on that line "fro" and then make the first "word" on the next line "m". And it would try to pronounce both new non-words. **Developer response:** Thank you for discovering this issue. I plan to correct it in the next version by finding the nearest space near "from" as the segmentation. ### 4/5 — I purchased the wrong APP *2024-02-18* Not going to give bad review. But not what i was looking for I wanted a App that would read to me. Maybe I dont know how to use, but it read one sentence of my web page. I looked for so many apps, but some had a subscriptions and they didn’t work how I wanted them to. This was just a great extension that allows me to just simply press the button and it reads my website where I wanted to. The voice and pace is great.
