## What is ReadToWrite?

ReadToWrite helps students build English that lasts.
ReadToWrite is not just an exam-practice app. It helps learners develop the real language skills behind better reading and writing: vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, reading comprehension, and written expression.
For students, ReadToWrite creates a personal practice path based on their learning goal, current level, learning pace, and weak points. Instead of repeating random sample papers, students work on focused exercises at the right difficulty, building skill step by step through research-informed deliberate practice.
For teachers, ReadToWrite makes it easier to see what each student needs next and assign practice that matches their actual progress. For parents, it gives a clearer view of long-term growth, not only short-term test scores.
Exams still matter. For students with more than three months before an exam, ReadToWrite can provide stronger support than sample-paper practice alone, because it prepares students by building the language ability that exams are designed to measure.

### 1.1.2 — 2026-08-22

• Students who join with a code from their teacher can now reach the right sign-in screen. 
• Notes you write on highlighted words now come back when you reopen a task, instead of quietly disappearing.
• The sign-in name field now asks for a real name — blank names and two-letter names are no longer accepted.
• Names written in Chinese, Japanese or Korean are accepted at their natural length, without needing extra characters.
• Fixed a rare crash that could happen while a profile picture was syncing.

• Saved answers now come back on every question when you pick up where you left off, not just the first one
• Upgrade the mission experience by fixing small UI flaws

### 1.1 — 2026-08-15

- Mission alerts. Get a notification the moment a new mission is ready for you, so you no longer have to keep checking.
- Pick up where you left off. Leave a mission part way through and come back later with every answer you already entered still in place.
- Dictionary text size. A new five-step size control while you read a dictionary entry. Your choice is remembered, and the dictionary now follows your system text size settings as well.
- Signing out now frees the device. Sign out on one device and you can sign in on another straight away, instead of being told you are already signed in elsewhere.
- Steadier on iPhone. The Mission Board and mission contents stay put when you rotate your phone.
- For teachers on iPad: set a starting level. When you issue a student binding code you can now choose the learning target and the starting level. Those students skip the questionnaire and begin at the right place, and the level you picked is shown in your Issued Binding Codes list.
- Fixes. New students' first missions no longer fail to be created for some levels, and wording across the app has been made clearer.
