## What is Readworth?

Readworth gives you one story, one poem and one idea every day—carefully chosen from great writers and thinkers, and matched to your interests and the time you have.

THREE GREAT READS, EVERY DAY
Each day brings you:
• One Story — short fiction from writers like Poe, Chekhov, Mansfield, Joyce, Wharton and more
• One Poem — from Dickinson, Keats, Whitman, Yeats, Rossetti, Hughes and others
• One Idea — essays, letters, speeches and philosophy from Seneca, Montaigne, Emerson, Douglass, Woolf and many more
Most readings can be finished in a single sitting.

CHOSEN FOR YOU
Tell Readworth what interests you and how much time you usually have.
What you finish, save and love gradually helps Readworth understand what to show you next.

Read aloud. Open any reading and tap the headphones at the top. A natural voice reads it aloud. Tap any paragraph to listen from there; the player at the bottom has speed, ±15 seconds and a choice of four voices. Tap the headphones again to stop. Playback continues with the screen locked, with Lock Screen and Dynamic Island controls. Listening to the end marks the reading as read, and Today offers "Continue listening" for a reading left partway.
About the voice. It is Kokoro-82M, an open-source text-to-speech model (Apache 2.0), bundled inside the app and run on the iPhone with Core ML. No text, audio or other data is sent anywhere, no network connection is used, nothing is downloaded, and there is no generative-AI or chat feature. Pronunciations for the catalog are prepared ahead of time and bundled.
Your Year in Reading. Reading life › This year › "See your year so far" opens a short, shareable recap of the reader's year (it's also offered as a card in December and January).
Siri and Shortcuts. For example: "Open today's poem in Readworth", "Read today's story aloud in Readworth", "What's today's idea on Readworth?" No setup needed.
Also: an Auto appearance (light by day, dark after sunset, worked out from the device's time zone, so no location access), story-sized passage cards for sharing a highlighted line, daily reminders that name the day's quickest reading, a progress ring on the Lock Screen widget, and better layouts at large text sizes.
