### 4/5 — Face Recognition

*2026-08-18, version 3.9.1*

Does not work but finally after a year the app works I don’t have to log into my account threw a browser I can use the app now. So convenient and fast no issues so far just face recognition doesn’t work.

### 3/5 — It crashes half the time

*2026-08-18, version 3.9.1*

And don’t get me started on the over simplistic design of this app

### 3/5 — Easy to use... and easy to mess up

*2026-08-17, version 3.9.1*

Be careful when contributing to more than one account during the same session. After you contribute to one, before you contribute to the next you need to UNCHECK the box for the first one. I didn't notice this app feature and ended up accidentally duplicating my contribution to the first account. After several phone calls I was able to stop payment, but was charged by both my bank and my 529 plan. It's an expensive mistake that is way too easy to make.

### 2/5 — Almost a good app

*2026-08-14, version 3.9.1*

Transfers take up to a week or two, there is no way to see the transaction history in the app, and there is no way to tell if a payment is in process. Having an app the makes it easy to add money is nice, but right now it’s missing a bunch of features.

### 2/5 — Buggy

*2026-08-12, version 3.9.1*

The sign in no longer works. The app doesn’t remember you no matter how many times you change the setting, and the Face ID stopped working with the new version. Now the API connection with the universities isn’t working. I called and they just made the tuition payment manually over the phone. No attempt to fix.

### 2/5 — Very few capabilities in the app

*2026-08-12, version 3.9.1*

Less functionality, does not provide lot of options to select different funds. Show performance since inception. Does not have tool to comepare performance with S&P and Nasdaq

### 3/5 — Password Issue Fixed

*2026-08-09, version 3.9.1*

The old issue where the password not accept on the app has been fixed.

### 4/5 — Good but could be bettter

*2026-08-08, version 3.9.1*

I like how user friendly and basic that the app is although I wish it had more detail of historical information. Such as historic contributions made per year and performance details. Performance shows the end of month balance using points on a chart but the account had reached a higher value mid-month and that info is lost unless I take screenshots.

### 3/5 — Needs improvement

*2026-08-07, version 3.9.1*

This app has basic functionality for checking account balance, and making contributions to your 529 accounts.

Where the fall down is the inability to save login information or save the Face ID.

The app will frequently require you to reapprove Face ID and login again.

The charts to show performance are very low quality and do not allow you to customize or look at returns over a longer period.

### 4/5 — Simple and perfect

*2026-08-07, version 3.9.1*

All things you need are easily available with one or 2 push buttons. Love the app very user friendly.

### 3/5 — It’s ok

*2026-08-06, version 3.9.1*

Can’t see full performace history on the site/app. They changed companies and didn’t pull my history. Hard to see what actual growth is because it pulls what u contribute. This is the only way to get the upromise money I earned over 18 years with my eldest. is to use this acct. They were charging me more then I was making. Not as many tax benefits in California and can’t be used for private grade school. Just educate yourself on the product.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Not working

*2026-08-23, version 3.9.1*

This app is no longer working for me. Not sure why.

### 1/5 — It’s OK

*2026-08-17, version 3.9.1*

Yeah, it is an OK app. Nothing great, nothing bad. Just displays the numbers. Can’t even run a report to get some data. Wish state of Michigan explore different options

### 1/5 — App Doesn't Always Work

*2026-08-14, version 3.9.1*

This app could be so much better for a financial app. It seems to have problems opening and logging in often.

### 1/5 — App is broken

*2026-08-13, version 3.9.1*

The app no longer allows you to access and view your accounts. You have to go to the website instead.

### 1/5 — Stopped Working after 3 years of contributions

*2026-08-13, version 3.9.1*

I use this app to save for my daughter’s future education. I started the account 3 years ago but suddenly I’m unable to log in. The alert message just reads “READYSAVE529 Is currently unavailable. Please try again later.” That’s it. Can’t contribute or withdraw my funds. Please fix the app! I’ve tried deleting and restarting with no luck.

### 1/5 — App not working

*2026-08-12, version 3.9.1*

After opening the page and giving my state name it just simply says
“No supported 529 programs were found. Contact your 529 provider to learn what resources are available.”
No matter what you enter in the ‘Find your plan or state’ field it’s same message.
This issue happening from last two months. Restarted my phone, deleted and reinstalled the app but no luck. This app sucks!

### 1/5 — Doesn’t Work

*2026-08-09, version 3.9.1*

Tried to use for several weeks and get the same message that something is wrong with the app. I’ve deleted and reinstalled multiple times and nothing works. Don’t bother.

### 1/5 — Nonfunctional App

*2026-08-08, version 3.9.1*

The App no longer functions. It doesn’t even progress to a logging screen. Deleting and reinstalling disk not resolve the problem.

### 1/5 — Needs significant improvements

*2026-08-07, version 3.9.1*

The app needs a major overhaul. For 2026, this app operates as a 2016 version. Just the basics - Not natively built and directs to a web interface. The login experience is terrible. Remember me does not work and requires a full login, including MFA each time. What a massive pain. Zero actual ability to evaluate different investment options once actually in the app. Please take some inspiration from other financial apps like Fidelity and make this better!

### 1/5 — App is no longer functional

*2026-08-07, version 3.9.1*

As other reviews have said, the app doesn't work anymore. Tried deleting it and reinstalling, it still doesn't work.

### 5/5 — Start this now!

*2026-08-15, version 3.9.1*

One of the best financial moves you can make for children and grandkids. Break the habit of the immediate gratification of elaborate gifts that end up in a garage sale or donated a few years later. Start it, build it, monitor it, and the kids will have a meaningful head-start to future education. Sets up easily !!!

### 5/5 — Start early

*2026-08-15, version 3.9.1*

Started too late but be sure to start early and save regularly. It really adds up and added advantage of not having to worry about being taxed.

READYSAVE529 ought to provide gift cards we could give the child when we make a contribution to his/her fund.
