All of the beautiful colors fascinate him and he is learning to touch the screen for more. What a wonderful way to introduce a child to color. I have found myself watching the beautiful explosions of color and taking pictures of them to use as backgrounds for picture colleges. By encouraging kids to play, you can empower them to grade the input of firework events, and thereby learn to anticipate what is going to happen at a real event. There is a tremendous amount of variation to this app in the settings tab, and it is fun to experiment with all of it and or tailor it to a specific child's needs. I think that this app is a keeper! There's an area on our layout with carnival rides etc. I wanted to try projecting a firework show on the wall behind it. This fireworks app is exactly what I was looking for. With a little imagination and a few other apps on my iMac, I am able to record custom fireworks with music and come close to syncing. This opened up yet another world of creativity. CB ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Be warned do not buy!!!! *2014-01-08, version 1.3.1* I got the full app. And now they want me to pay again just to stop all the advertising on this fireworks app. You can not enjoy the program because of being bombarded with advertising for more games. You are required to pay another 4.99 just to stop the advertising! What a rip off after I paid for the full version! ### 1/5 — Needs Works *2013-02-03, version 1.3.1* Fireworks are supposed to explode, this sounds like someone banging on a Trash Can. Shouldn't an app called Real fireworks sound like Real fireworks? Then, the Images are fuzzy, if it were supposed to be an odd visualizer app, or, but this is supposed to be Real fireworks, and the Firework effect look like odd crayon drawings! Worst of all, this app is not Retina ready at all, I paid a lot for this device, here's a thought, try supporting it! ### 1/5 — Not worth the money! *2012-07-02, version 1.3.1* I downloaded the full version from "apps gone free". However, it is only free for 24 hours! What a rip that it's not even going to be free for the fourth. The app is $4.99 if you want to keep it the full version and it's not worth even $0.99. It does have nice visuals and you can toggle with some of the settings but there is nothing spectacular about this app. Sorry but I will delete this. Good thing I didn't waste my money on this or I would have fought for a refund. ### 3/5 — Good But Not Great *2012-07-05, version 1.3.1* It's a pretty good app, especially on sale for $.99. (I wouldn't have paid more) It has a fair number of presets and options but all are a bit samey. There only seems to be one (not very realistic) sound effect at one volume level. Settings are global so there's only one style of firework at a time. Stereo only seems to be used by the random fireworks, not those made by touching, and handling of multitouch is only so-so. There are no settings for numbers of particles, types of fireworks, or timing. If this were the visual equivalent of "Storm Sim" it would be great! As-is it's okay. ### 4/5 — Needs more functionality *2015-07-04, version 1.3.1* This is a great app for looks. It would be nice to see small trails headed up before each mortar explodes. Also maybe one other effect other than mortars, I'm thinking of those that go up then wiggle around after the mortar explodes. Overall it's really nice though. ### 4/5 — There are two versions this is the better one *2012-12-30, version 1.3.1* There are two versions of this app. This is the free version without the banner ad and locked controls. It's pretty good for the ooo and ah of fireworks without the hazards of real fireworks. If you have Apple TV the AirPlay works great from my ipad. ### 4/5 — Great but.... *2012-07-06, version 1.3.1* This is a pretty cool app. My only problem with it is that there should be a little more customization options like being able to sort of flick the fireworks up before they explode or synchronized explosions and whatnot. I mirror my iDevice to my big screen TV to launch a party with a bang or to celebrate a local sports team victory. I do screen captures to add some fireworks fun to my slide shows. It looks terrific on a big screen and the sound is as impressive to match. They're "superstores" because besides being able to fill a shopping cart with ordinance 365 days-a-year (in many cases), you can get handles of liquor and find easy parking in a lot too big to imagine full (3rd of July?).
