However, each puzzle is static - that is to say, you can’t zoom in and must play with the entire puzzle in view. Because of that, playing on my iPod touch was nearly impossible, as my big fingers would tap on the wrong squares two or three times before getting the one that I wanted. If you have a larger device and like Kakuro, then this is by far the best app. It also provides another useful puzzle source for old-school pencil-and-paper puzzlers like me. I take screenshots of the blank puzzles and print them out to do them by hand. With the high resolution quality of iPad screenshots, they come out fantastic, even when I print them on a full page at about 8x10” (on a standard 8-1/2x11” sheet). So if I don’t want to lug around my iPad (like when I’m waiting in the car to pick up the kids from school), I have a few of the printed out puzzles on my dollar store clipboard and I don’t have to worry about screen glare or battery charge. Also, the quality of puzzles here are MUCH better than others you can find online - I have tried dozens of websites and it isn’t even close. ### 4/5 — Just needs zoom feature *2018-07-27, version 2.3.3* Love real kakuro, and the 20x20 looks like fun...but my eyes need the zoom feature. Excellent gameplay and beautiful stylistically, but the interface suffers from style over substance. The poor contrast and lack of zoom makes the game very difficult to play to relax before bed. ### 5/5 — Brilliantly Addictive!! *2016-10-16, version 2.3.3* I love this app. The larger puzzles are more challenging and there are 80 puzzles to each level and 5 levels in total. You can put the different options in pencil and it shows red if you've gone wrong. Only downside is the developers have not brought out new puzzles this size so I'm going through the puzzles for a third time! In the “Real Kakuro” app, when you use both pencil marks and then a pen mark, hitting the eraser will return you to the pencil marks. Any way to get the same feature in “Real Kakuro 20x20? Got so aggravated I quit. This game is very good for your brain, I don’t want to quit, but I feel bullied when there’s no help and I’m 72 years old. I was disappointed that there were only 80 puzzles per level. Would like to see them add more. Also, the other version of the game lets you erase pen marks and leaves the pencil marks underneath, but this version erases everything. Or it might be more accurate to say that the pen marks overwrite the pencil marks instead of just covering them up. That can be annoying when you have a particularly hard puzzle and you need to resort to trying out combinations to find where the solution breaks, then go back and try another one.
