### 4/5 — Seems ok

*2026-08-13*

So far so good

### 4/5 — Manque de Basse

*2026-07-16*

On entend pas assez la basse sur certains morceaux ! Bizarre !

### 4/5 — Fantastic App

*2026-06-22*

Love this app a ton! I use it for all of my tune practice. I will say the only issue I have been having is that there is some audio crackling/distortion with the bass particularly when you change keys. Not sure if this something that is fixable but just thought I would share.

### 4/5 — I just love

*2026-06-19*

The sound quality it’s incredible, but the cord’s font size is too small on my MacBook and on my iPad 13 inch.

### 5/5 — Great App

*2026-06-06*

I love to use this app, it would be great to have access to the music sheet of each song.

### 5/5 — Amazing app, by top players!

*2026-06-05*

This is an incredible app that is still in its infancy. Top notch New York players. Theres a couple of quirks, wich im sure devs are all ready on it. Example : when changing tempo, highlighted ongoing chords dont follow this new tempo. I highly recommend this app for any serious players.

### 5/5 — Wonderful!!

*2026-06-05*

This is just wonderful, and I have nothing else to add.

### 5/5 — Needs tweaking but it’s great

*2026-06-04*

It’s great to have such stellar musicianship on a backing track. App needs a few tweaks

There should be a loop function to take a smaller section and loop it.

There should be more tunes, but I get it. It’s new and they need time to record more. I requested a few. The more people who subscribe, the more this will grow, so I hope this gets traction. 5 starring it for this reason alone.

There should be some kind of settings button somewhere that a user can access their profile, requested tunes, favorites, restore purchases, etc.

Looking forward to updates. Keep it up!

### 5/5 — Fantastic app

*2026-05-30*

This is exactly what I’ve been looking for… something beyond the synthetic sounds of iRealPro. Real musicians playing on top standards. Not only is this fantastic to practice over as a soloist, but you can also study the accompaniments which sound fantastic and don’t just loop, but add variety on each repeat. Brilliant! Even transposing and adjusting tempo don’t distort audio. Well done guys. A must have!

### 5/5 — Tunes

*2026-05-30*

Sorry, i didn‘t realize how much Time it Took for downloading the other tunes. Great stuff !

### 5/5 — Love the app

*2026-05-28*

Incredible app! Makes practicing fun again. Cheers!

### 5/5 — Amazon App

*2026-05-27*

AMAZING!! I just played with Luther Allison, Russel Hall and Charles Good IN MY LIVING ROOM. I could adjust how fast they played and the key that they played (any key I wanted) in a heartbeat, on the fly, just with the touch of a button. WOW!

### 5/5 — A fantastic app!

*2026-05-27*

This app is a total game-changer for my students’ practice routine! I love that they have high-quality recordings that they can practice against at home, for an affordable price. Thank you so much!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — I signed up for $3.29 per month and was charged $14.99

*2026-08-04, version 1.6.6*

Scam

### 1/5 — Wrong key and out of tune

*2026-05-29*

I also had high hopes for this and was sad to see that the key changes seem to have similar issues to what I’ve noticed on other key changing apps/programs, and this was on an iPad Pro which is able to handle pretty much everything. I subscribed for one month and cancelled. I’d love to check it out again if it’s fixed.

### 1/5 — What about all the other Tunes on the list ?

*2026-05-28*

Those few songs that function sound Fine, but What about All the others ?

### 1/5 — Unconventional

*2026-05-27*

I downloaded this app after watching Nathan Graybeal’s video on it with high expectations given that I normally use iRealPro. However, this app only lets me access two tunes and has the rest locked. When I clicked on them, the app prompted me to pay a subscription which wasn’t mentioned in Nathan’s ( A collaborator of the app) video. I found this very misleading. When I tried to pay the 2$ a month subscription, it stated that I couldn’t make purchases in the app and that my payment failed. I’m just concerned because where else am I expected to pay? I was planning on using my Apple Pay account. I am very disappointed, and wish I had better things to say, but unfortunately not.

### 1/5 — Wrong key

*2026-05-22*

For some reason it’s always in the wrong key when it says one key it’s in a different one

**Developer response:** We're working on a fix! On some devices, our audio engine maxes out performance and causes audio to play slow and under pitch. Stick around - we will patch this and get the app working smoothly for everyone!

### 1/5 — Too many bugs

*2026-05-22*

This app is broken for my iPhone SE 3. The pitch is off. Chord chart tracking is off. Some musician’s sound is blurred.

I love this app’s concept. But, I shouldn’t have paid annual fee.

Maybe someday my patch will come.

**Developer response:** Someday (soon) the patch will come! On some devices, like the SE, our audio engine maxes out performance and causes audio to be a bit slow and under pitch. We're working as fast as we can to make the engine more performant so everyone has a great experience. Please stick around - your yearly membership will get you access to new tracks throughout the year as we add them!

### 3/5 — Good but room for improvement.

*2026-07-12*

The default tracks are great but transposing and tempo changes do not sound so good. Personally I would like slower versions of tracks especially the practice tracks (2 5 1’s). Also is looping a section possible?

### 3/5 — Chord Highlights Don’t Match The Sound Yet

*2026-06-28*

This is the beginning of this app. I’m
One of the first to jump in because I love real accompaniment here compared to iReal. However, more tweak needs to be done on the is at this time. The jumping chord highlights is easy ahead of the played chord/sound. It’s the same for all the songs. This needs to be fixed asap. This ought to have been fixed before launching this app at all. The least would have been to launch for free, get feedback on bugs to fixe, fix them and then start subscriptions. I really want this app to succeed but more work needs to be done at this initial starting time. I’d like to grow with it/you Chad!

### 3/5 — Kinda Disappointed

*2026-06-10*

It’s a great idea, but the sound quality is not good. The bass sounds so muddy and the cymbals don’t articulate. Please up the sample rate on the next update!

### 3/5 — Other keys not up to scratch

*2026-05-25*

Great to have backing tracks that sounds real. Main issue found so far is putting tracks in different keys - the original key sounds great but any other key often sounds shaky/poor quality/murky voicings. It is clear that the original key has been recorded and then other keys just simply transposed using software which means alternative keys don’t sound great.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Killin’

*2026-08-20*

Soooooo much better than ireal pro. No comparison. Just need more tunes!

### 5/5 — Russ Shtar

*2026-08-12*

Very useful it’s so comfortable

### 5/5 — Excelente

*2026-07-03*

### 5/5 — Wrong key and out of tune

*2026-07-02*

EDIT: The problems I originally encountered have been addressed and this is now my favorite way to practice. Way to go on the fixes!

### 5/5 — Really Good App

*2026-06-25*

I have been really enjoying this app. The musicianship is high within the backing tracks, the UI is sleek and easy to use, and the tune library is quite vast already for an app that released not too long ago. I also appreciate that you can customize the bpm and key for any tune (and it doesn’t sound weird or off to me).

I also really appreciate update 1.6.0, which fixed my only previous frustration with the app (that the visual highlighting would get ahead of the tune).

### 5/5 — Stunning app

*2026-06-24*

I’m a drummer and this is the app I’ve been dreaming of! Literally as a drummer to practice Jazz and play along with great musicians well at the same time being able to edit volume of piano, bass guitar and drums is just amazing. So obviously I take out the drums and play along and it’s such a great vibe.

### 5/5 — Best Jazz App

*2026-06-23*

This is currently the best and most affordable option for practicing and learning jazz standards with correct chord changes. The price is worth it and I look forward to more tunes and options in future updates.

### 5/5 — My Goto Playalong App Now

*2026-06-19*

It’s Real! Easy to use and to modify as needed. Looking forward to added repertoire and other practice innovations

### 5/5 — Tatsächlich real

*2026-06-18*

Da macht das üben gleich mehr Spaß.

### 5/5 — Rapid improvement!

*2026-06-18*

My playing has improved significantly in just the week I’ve been using this app. I’ve learned various keys by learning different songs, but there’s something really expanding about playing a familiar song in different keys. This app makes it easy and the feel is very organic.
