I was barely on and got pop ip saying but was a free trial. It seems also that you can’t skip around to what you’d like to look for - it makes you click through & “learn” the lesson before opening the next section. I’m so glad I found this app because from neat categories to customized todo lists in the home page, this is what a student designer in a messy world loves. This app not only gives you weeks of free trial but it makes you feel safe and competent to understand not only how to adult, but also how to effectively learn topics above and beyond this resource. Thank you 🙏🏾💖 ### 4/5 — GREAT START! *2022-05-25, version 1.2.09* I’ve just started using this app, and really love its “detailed, simplicity”; the way categories are broken down and tasks are explained in simple jargon is very refreshing. There are only a few implementations I would like to see: iPad compatibility, with iCloud sync and landscape mode 1Password—and other password managers—integration for easier sign-up/-in Simple Watch app for reminders and to mark tasks as complete, “remind me later”, etc. I will see how things go over the next few weeks as I spend majority of my day on my iPad and don’t install iPhone-only apps on it. With that said, I’ve already told other people about this app and it’s usefulness. 😊 ### 5/5 — Likely the only app I’ll ever write a review for *2022-05-25, version 1.2.09* Amazing! The only thing I’d like more is an expansion on what can be learned/planned in the app! Things that are even more personal like planning a vacation, a night out, a wedding, cleaning the whole house top to bottom, cleaning certain appliances (oven?) etc. I have so many ideas here lol But- I love it so much. I deal with some executive dysfunction issues and I’ve spent my whole life, wasting hours just writing/typing out what I needed to do step-by-step because I can’t just figure out a long term goal as I go. I have to sort it out all at once and lay it out as a project in front of myself with clear steps. It’s always how I’ve worked, and catering to it has taken a lot of time & effort not to mention explaining myself, and sometimes even being left behind with projects and plans. I was disappointed to see a limited array of topics and more disappointed to see the app is mostly just promoting other apps and services. Also many of these rules and regulations vary by state, worth adding a filter for state for car or housing rental steps. Otherwise it’s generic like an online search provides. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Server is not found. *2024-05-22* I actually love this app, I pay for the yearly subscription and use it multiple times every week. I’m just leaving a one star at this time so hopefully the app developers will read this. The app isn't working today, whenever I try to open it and error pops up that says: “error: a server with the specified hostname could not be found.” I tried to let you guys know through your website but that isn’t working either. It says that the server can’t be found. I’m assuming that the server is just down, I wanted to let you know to make sure you are aware of the issue. Every time I’d put in my email and tapped next, the screen would glitch and the screen would go blank. I tried doing this on a few separate occasions before deleting the app. It’s a shame because I really wanted to try it. ### 1/5 — Please help me fix the issue. *2022-06-03, version 1.2.09* I so want to use this app. But every time I try to sign up it seems to crash. I get all the way to the create a password screen then the next arrow jumps to the top of the screen where I’m not able to continue. There isno additional information on what it’s used for which is why I stopped there and didn’t finish creating my account. In this day and age, you have to be more transparent about the information you are gathering from your users. ### 1/5 — It literally just doesn’t work *2022-02-17, version 1.2.0* I created an account and then it randomly logged me out right after and when I tried logging back in it wouldn’t load and would be stuck at some random screen, I even tried deleting and re-downloading it 3 times but it just doesn’t work period ### 1/5 — Honestly...I don’t what to say *2021-10-15, version 1.1.05* I looked for an app that I felt could help me out with “adulting 101” and came across this one. I figured that it was an easy fix that my problems would just dissolve. Saw the reviews and what not and everything seemed okay. Went to “create your account” button, put the information in and guess what, it said “Email has already been taken”. Mind you this is my first time using the app. I don’t want to feel like my information was had been jeopardized. But I feel as though, the mods or developers need to work on this issue. I was really looking for forward to a more authentic and accurate source to help me out on my journey through life’s issues and managing my money but it seems I’ll be taking my five minutes else where to log in and focus my time on something a little more private. Either with a verified link to email or just from the internet/YouTube! See ya and God bless anyone who went through the same issue and hasn’t heard anything since. We are happy to give you more details about what occurred to alleviate any concerns you may have! ### 2/5 — Was really useful before... *2024-03-31* One of the main selling points to this app when I first got it that I loved was the fact it marketed itself as a free resource because 'learning how to navigate adulthood should be a resource available to everyone'. Now they've abandoned that ethos in favor of making money. Feels a bit like they sold out and I can no longer use the application or recommend it to others without addressing that paywall. I guarantee young users would mind ads less than a paywall to content, or perhaps a limit on how many lessons you can do per day. Their reasoning just sounds shallow and fake. "We feel a subscription-based model aligns with our mission better even though our mission was originally to make knowledge about adulthood accessible to everyone". Not a great look👎🏼 ### 2/5 — Feels like a cheap cross-platform app, only used for referral $$$$ *2022-05-02, version 1.2.03* If this app wasn’t made in React Native or Flutter, then someone really went out of there way to make it feel like that. Constant load screens, the app constantly hangs when going to each screen while it has to fetch the information every time (like which boxes are checked off, or what my profile information is). Navigation jumps around all the time and back swipes don’t always work. It feels like a cheap UI slapped onto a cheap experience. The core of this application is two things: a basic checklist for you, and a way for the creator to get infinite referral money off of the products that they try to get you to click on on all the main screens. Shameless cash grab. Unfortunately, I didn’t need this app as much as I do now.. but it’s so hard to use because of the pay wall. It’s nothing to even pay for, in my opinion… I understand that I’m paying to unlock the apps full features, but compared to what the app was and what it is now… I would rather just do the research instead of having to pay a subscription cost. I love what this app is and its purpose…. I love the app’s design and teachings… It’s getting a three stars from me only because I was there before the paywall and this app was so much more useful; I kept it when I didn’t have rent or a credit score to worry about. I think the different lessons should be free to read like they were, we should have to pay for being able to take the quizzes and things of that nature… but now you have to pay to read the snapshots, you only get one free thing to read. If you are feeling overwhelmed in the real world and wondering why school never taught you things like budgeting, investing, health insurance, work benefits, establishing credit, etc. then this is definitely the app for you. There are so many topics to choose and learn from that have helped me countless times make decisions. For example, with my new apartment I needed renters insurance and I was given no other explanation other than get it. Not knowing where to start, I turned to RealWorld which helped me not only understand what it is and why I needed it, but pointed me in the right direction on where to review my options and to purchase it. I have also used RealWorld to make decisions about which credit card to apply for and how to begin investing and which brokerage platforms to use.
