## What is Reaper?

You are Death.

You drift through an endless graveyard carrying a small circle of lantern light. Everything outside that circle is black. Villagers, elders, rabbits, deer and wolves wander past you in the dark, and some of them have a skull floating above their head.

Those are the dead. The ones you came for. Tap one inside your light and the scythe swings.

THE CHOICE

Every night gives you a soul quota and a countdown, and the marked are deliberately scarce. But you can reap anything. A living creature fills your quota exactly like a marked one — it just costs you a heart. You have five.

The clock is running, the quota isn't met, and there's a rabbit two steps from your blade. That is the whole game.

THE MERCY RULE

Take fewer than three living creatures in a night and your hearts renew at dawn. Take three and the damage follows you into the next night. Lose all five and you begin again at Night 1.

EVERY NIGHT IS BEATABLE

The spawn director always paces out more marked souls than the quota needs, and marked creatures that wander too far are brought back rather than removed. A bot plays every level to prove a clean night is possible. If you spilled innocent blood, that was a decision, not bad luck.
