So it is infuriating that they have such a poorly designed outdated app. I bet they would win many more subscribers if they would bother to put out a decent app. ### 2/5 — Not user friendly *2022-08-08* This app could be so much better but the interface is not user friendly or aesthetic. It seems extremely compact and it’s hard to navigate. ### 2/5 — Horrible app *2021-10-05* No way to search articles. And the app doesn’t show headlines on my phone anymore. Even with an update. It just shows the author of each article. This app is pathetic and just drives you to their site for any decent article. Reason should be embarrassed. However, links in articles don’t work (this includes both links to full versions of the articles being read and links to external sources). You click them and get no response. ### 2/5 — Clickbait *2019-03-12, version 1.11.2* The app is designed to drive traffic to Reason’s web site, and with unnecessary clicks. ### 1/5 — Read on the website instead *2019-02-24, version 1.11.2* I downloaded this app thinking it would be like the NYT or WaPo apps, you know, convenient. It’s not. It makes trying to read an article a chore. First of all, the home page opens up in a tiny mini-window. Then when you choose an article you have to select whether to continue in the app or go to the website. If you stay in the app you have to scroll through the whole article on that same mini-window. My recommendation: Forget the app and just go to reason.com. ### 1/5 — I would like to love it.... *2018-07-17* I find quite a few of the articles interesting, however, if I have to click 3 places just to read an article, I will pass. Because they take the assignment as seriously as they take this app. What a bunch of entitled self absorbed idiots. This would have been a terrible app in 2007, it’s inexcusable in 2023 and should be ejected from the App Store. Dog s_-_. No content in the videos, articles, or the .org part of the app anymore… so I am guessing Reason shut down the use of the original content the blogger doesn’t have permission to redistribute. Point is… this is not Reason Magazine… it’s just a way for an industrious Libertarian to get his blog out there. Not really a bad place to view all the articles in one place and the blogs are clearly marked… but it’s worth paying the $1.99 to gain access to the real Reason Magazine app. ### 1/5 — Bad UI *2021-07-19, version 1.11.2* I like Reason but the app looks like it hasn't been updated since 2010. It’s barely usable and a complete eyesore. I recommend getting the print publication for sure. The website is also very good, even on mobile web.
