### 4/5 — Not enough battles

*2023-01-20, version 1.6*

I think there should be more battles like the battle of bunker hill in the battle of Boston and then there should be a lot more bottles in there because I just don’t feel like spending more money to buy a second game for more battles

### 4/5 — Trop facile

*2022-09-09, version 1.6*

J’adore les jeux de cet éditeur, mais celui-ci est vraiment trop facile.

### 4/5 — Lots of fun

*2015-07-08, version 1.2*

Historical background and detail is good. Hopefully there is nothing that will disturb the politically correct crowd and Hunted Cow caves to their insanity ...after all Washington owned slaves. Pity Hunted Cow caved to Apple and re-did the Civil War games excluding the Confederate battle flag and substituting the naval flag!

### 3/5 — Not Bad

*2015-03-31, version 1.2*

Good game, but only 10 missions makes it way too short with little replay value.

### 3/5 — Needs work

*2014-12-29, version 1.0*

Needs some work on balance.

### 3/5 — Good game, but not up to par with previous ones

*2014-12-15, version 1.0*

Good game, very playable, but I expected better graphics in par with the recent Peninsular War game, which is amazing; I also expected more than 2 campaigns for a meagre total of 10 scenarios, even though they are playable from both sides.

### 3/5 — Good, but could be much better for the price.

*2014-12-02, version 1.0*

This game needs some more refinement. Some controls - like formation and attacks - are not quite as clear as in theme CW series. I think the graphics overall are pretty impressive. I am disappointed in the very limited number of scenarios compared to the other games from this company especially at the prince set for this game. I like the size of the maps, which offer some tactical options, but with units entering from the distant edges it is often difficult to accomplish some objectives.

### 3/5 — Fun but Pricey

*2014-11-28, version 1.0*

Fun game. Enjoyed like all of your other titles but $9.99 is a steep price to pay for the small amount of battles available, especially compared to the other games. Please release free updates.

### 4/5 — JJB49

*2014-11-28, version 1.0*

I enjoy all the Hunted Cow games I have. What change I would like to see is when troops get down to 3 I can consolidate units.

### 3/5 — Could Have Been Better But Still Have Hope

*2014-11-13, version 1.0*

I've been a great fan of Hunted Cows Tank Battles series.

When an American Revolutionary War came out I was quite excited. Unfortunately the game was a bit of a disappointment.

The game is way over priced for what you get and the games AI on hard is a bit of a push over

However, the game has great potential and I have faith that Hunted Cow will do their fans right by improving this game.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Where is Bunker hill?

*2021-10-15, version 1.6*

Just purchased this says service is down when I sent my email for the bonus battle

### 1/5 — Locks up

*2015-07-10, version 1.2*

Title says it all. Cannot get past game turn 8.

### 1/5 — NOT FOR THE PRICE

*2015-06-27, version 1.2*

The game is not worth the price paid. You cannot win the Kings Mountain scenario as the British so forget about winning all 10 as that nation. Battle system could be improved as several leave you wondering how you lost so many troops or failed to do any damage.

### 1/5 — Good idea just doesn't work well

*2014-12-26, version 1.0*

Game is very slow. Takes forever for an enemy turn and it seems like if you don't know the history of Gettysburg battles you are screwed. I am on turn 40 and can't engage the enemy. Took me 3 hours to get here and I just want a war not a history lesson.

### 1/5 — Rebels and Redcoats

*2014-12-05, version 1.0*

Not up to standard of other HexWars.Poor graphics and boring. Can't compare to Russian Front or Alexander. Overpriced

### 2/5 — Bad value

*2014-11-08, version 1.0*

Disappointing! There is only 1 campaign with 5 scenarios - you only get a couple days play for your $10. The AI is not very smart, poor scenario design makes the game easy to beat. One of their worst games...

### 3/5 — Good but not many scenarios

*2015-12-10, version 1.6*

This game has some new options, like the ability to combine units, that make it a bit better than some of the other Hunted Cow titles (I have them all!) but it fell short by only giving about 10 scenarios. You can play for either side, but that's still only 20 scenarios and other HC games offer much more, and some like Ancient Rome offer $0.99 expansion maps. It's a fun game but feels a little skimpy.

### 3/5 — Great game, broken software

*2015-07-29, version 1.2*

I like the period, the interface, the graphics. What I hate is having to restart the game constantly because the system won't let me end the turner it says I've moved everything when I haven't. I also hate not having a back button or a "you sure you want the turn to end" option. So, if you can stand a lot of frustration, it's a great game and can be a 5 when they fix it.

### 3/5 — Pretty good

*2015-07-07, version 1.2*

Pretty cool game. I would ask the programmers if the King's Mountain level is supposed to be a joke though. I literally destroyed every British unit in the first round.

### 3/5 — Good Game

*2015-07-04, version 1.2*

Good game, add more scenarios and I'll give you 5 stars......

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2018-07-05, version 1.6*

Un jeu de stratégie très bien conçu.

### 5/5 — Good game

*2017-03-13, version 1.6*

Very good game. Needs more scenarios

### 5/5 — Non-Trivial game for a trifle

*2016-05-19, version 1.6*

Another great title from Hunted Cow/Hexwar. This game is rich historically and tactically, and rewards repeated play. The graphics are very nice, even on my iPad mini. The price is negligible for a game this deep (and fun!).

### 5/5 — Another great game

*2015-12-11, version 1.6*

Gives a great feel for the period with fun playability. Well done.

### 5/5 — Fire by platoon

*2015-07-07, version 1.2*

Another excellent game.Good terrain and uniform detail. The battles flow well.Improvements? I would like to be able to view the battlefield after the action, with a more detailed 'battle report'.Also the ability to expand the view of the soldiers, through a magnifying glass you can see the super-detailed uniforms.Superb stuff.

### 5/5 — Good

*2015-03-10, version 1.2*

It is tons of fun but I would like there to be multiplayer missions

### 5/5 — Tons of fun!

*2015-01-18, version 1.2*

This game like almost all of the games made by Hunted Cow Studios Ltd. is great fun! It's a wonderful strategy game where YOU are the general. The historical info only helps to make the game even more interesting! The only thing I wish is that they had more maps in the campaign. Any of these games are great! Be sure to check out Peninsula wars for even more fun!

### 5/5 — Great traditional war game

*2015-01-13*

Enjoyable

### 5/5 — Another winner

*2014-12-10, version 1.0*

Great stuff! The game is challenging, infuriating, and totally absorbing. Pay special attention to the tutorial section to get the most out of your forces. Another winner from Hunted Cow. Keep 'em coming!

### 5/5 — Great game

*2014-11-09, version 1.0*

Been playing hunted cow, hexwar games for a while. This is right up there with the very best of em. Only thing missing is more campaigns. How bout a vietnam war game. With chopper missions...
