I purchased another $10 calling package this morning, as I do almost every day while I’m abroad and need to make international calls. I’ve been using Rebtel for around six months, and I’ve never experienced anything like this. Today the app has logged me out of my account repeatedly — literally around 20–30 times. Every time, I log back in, enter my password, verify my phone number with the code, select my country (UK), and successfully access my account. Then, as soon as I try to do anything or make a call, I’m immediately logged out again and asked to go through the entire login process from the beginning. I have repeated this process at least 20 times today and I still cannot make a single call. I paid $10 today specifically to use your calling service, but the service has not been delivered and the credit/package I purchased is effectively unusable. Please investigate and fix whatever is wrong with my account or your system. I would also like a full refund of today’s $10 purchase, since I have been unable to use the service I paid for. Your international calls are already quite expensive, so paying for a package and then being unable to use the service at all is extremely frustrating. However, I later discovered that all of my international calls were billed by my mobile service provider instead of being covered by the app. As a result, I was charged CAD 183 in my monthly bill by my provider for those overseas calls. I eventually had to remove my card from the account just to prevent further charges.
