## What is Recallable?

Recallable is a flashcard app for anyone who wants to remember what they learn. Open it and a card is waiting. Answer it, rate how well you knew it, and the next one is ready. There's no session to set up and nothing is ever overdue.

OPEN THE APP AND ANSWER
Home opens on your next card. Show the answer, rate it Hard, Good, or Easy, and keep going for as long or as little as you like. Want focus? Study a round from one deck, a few, or all of them, and choose what to work on: what you struggle with, cards you haven't seen in a while, or new ones. Each card wears its deck's color, so a mixed round still tells you the subject at a glance.

SPACED, NEVER OVERDUE
Every rating spaces that card: ones you know drift further apart, hard ones come back sooner. Recallable orders your cards by what needs attention most, but it never shows a backlog or a due count. New cards join a few at a time so a big deck never feels like a wall.

A DECK ON ANY SUBJECT
Search Discover for a topic or a creator, or browse by category and level, from Pre-K to Professional. Sort by top rated or most downloaded, preview a few cards, and start studying in a tap. Follow a deck to get the creator's new cards as they add them, while your own edits and progress stay yours. Starter decks on history, geography, science, the human body, algebra, and Spanish are built in and work offline.

SHARE AND PUBLISH
Send any deck to a friend with a link: it opens in Recallable, or points them to the App Store. Publish your decks to Discover under a username, and see their downloads, ratings, and reports in the Creator tab. Decks with pictures are checked by a moderator before they appear.

A LIBRARY THAT STAYS FINDABLE
Decks are grouped by subject. Sort them by name, recent study, or what needs the most work, and filter to the decks you're struggling with or by level.

MAKE YOUR OWN CARDS
Write questions and answers with hints, an explanation, and a link for more. Add a picture to either side. Type math in LaTeX and it's typeset, on every device. Import cards from a CSV file or spreadsheet, and export any deck as CSV.

CARDS FROM A TOPIC OR YOUR NOTES
Ask for cards on a topic, or draft them from text, a web page, a PDF, or a photo of your notes. Drafts are made on device with Apple Intelligence where it's available, or with LM Studio on your Mac or your own Google Gemini key if you set one up. You review every draft before it's saved.

ON EVERY DEVICE
• iPhone and iPad, with layouts made for each
• Mac, as a native app with keyboard shortcuts
• Apple Watch: open straight to a card, flip it, rate it
• Home Screen widget: flip and rate cards without opening the app
• Lock Screen widgets, Shortcuts, Siri, and a Control Center control
• Optional reminders at times you choose, which never show card text

YOURS, AND PRIVATE
Your cards, pictures, and progress stay on your devices and in your private iCloud, which keeps them the same everywhere. Recallable has no ads, no tracking, and no account to create. Nothing leaves your devices unless you share, publish, or rate a deck, or choose an online AI service.

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 1.0.1 — 2026-10-25

CSV export now opens a Save dialog on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Import and export preserve deck memberships, multiline hints, tags, Unicode, and text formatting. Spreadsheet import handles UTF-16 files more reliably. Widgets fit complete card text into the available space and offer a full-card link for exceptionally long content.

### 1.0.0 — 2026-10-24
