## What is RecallRadar?

Every year thousands of products are recalled in the United States: food, medications, toys, electronics, vehicles, and household goods. Most people find out too late, if they find out at all.

RecallRadar flips that around. Instead of burying you in every recall in the country, it starts with a simple question: does this affect you?

TELL IT WHAT YOU OWN
Add the brands, foods, medications, and baby gear your family uses. If a new recall mentions a watched item, you get an alert. Not a feed. An answer.

ADD YOUR CAR
Enter your VIN or your year, make, and model. RecallRadar checks it against official NHTSA safety recalls and tells you exactly what to do, not just that something happened.

SCAN THE SHELF
Point your camera at a product barcode to check it against recall data, then keep watching it. If that barcode ever shows up in a recall, you will know.

SEE WHAT MATTERS AT A GLANCE
Color coded severity shows you the difference between a labeling error and a health hazard. Every recall leads with the action: refund, repair, return, or stop using. Product photos and a distribution map show you what to look for and where it was sold.

BROWSE EVERYTHING
The full national feed is always there when you want it, organized by category: Food, Automobiles, Toys, Technology, Health and Medicine, and Household. Search it, filter it, or just check the urgent ones.

STRAIGHT FROM THE SOURCE
All data comes directly from official United States government agencies: FDA, USDA FSIS, CPSC, and NHTSA. Nothing is editorialized and nothing passes through our servers, because we do not have any.

YOURS, SIMPLY
No ads. No subscription. No account to create. No data collected, ever. You pay once, less than a cup of coffee, and the app is yours for good. That is the whole business model.

Your watchlist, garage, and history live only on your device. RecallRadar checks for new recalls in the background and keeps working offline with everything it has already fetched.

Data is aggregated from public U.S. government sources. Always verify details with the official agency notice, which is linked from every recall.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.2.0 — 2026-08-01

Your watchlist is now yours to arrange. Touch and hold any item and drag it into the order you want, and the Home screen follows that same order so the things you care about most sit at the top.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-07-31

Breaking recalls now appear the day they are announced. RecallRadar reads the FDA press-release feed alongside the official enforcement database, so a recall in the news shows up right away, marked "Just announced" until the FDA publishes its full classification.

### 1.0 — 2026-07-29

No release notes.
