## What is ReceiptCap?

Receipt-Cap helps you turn paper receipts into organized digital records in seconds.

  Capture a receipt with your camera (or import from gallery/files), auto-crop it, enhance image clarity, and extract
  key details like merchant, date, total, tax, fuel liters, and payment method.

  Review and edit extracted fields before saving, assign categories, and keep receipts searchable in one place. Filter
  by category and date, quickly find past receipts, and track spending trends over time.

Added item-list export for general receipts in CSV (Excel-openable): new ListedItems column.

      1. Uses saved scannedItemHintsJSON first
      2. Falls back to OCR parsing (extractReceiptLineItems) if hints are missing

### 1.7 — 2026-03-31

1. Improved general receipt item extraction and editing with compact line-item rows.
  2. Added row-based item controls: item name, quantity, price, plus add/delete row actions.
  3. Added automatic subtotal, tax, and total recalculation when line items are edited.
  4. Added settings-based tax percentage support (default set to 13%) and applied it to itemized receipts.
  5. Improved persistence so edited/deleted/added line items are saved and stay permanent when reopening receipts.
  6. Improved parsing logic to better separate fuel receipts from general multi-item receipts.
  7. Updated review/edit flow consistency between AI extraction and manual add/edit screens.
  8. Included stability/build fixes in the iOS project for successful compile and upload.

1. Home/dashboard UI adjusted to reduce oversized/cluttered layout and improve fit across iOS screens.
  2. Side menu updated:
      - Hamburger icon style changed.
      - Drawer coverage fixed to full screen height on iOS devices.
      - Menu row tap target expanded so full row is clickable (not just icon/label).
  3. List page redesigned/restructured (new layout, not just styling tweaks).
  4. Receipt detail page (card tap destination) redesigned/restructured.
  5. Compile/build fixes in ContentView.swift:
      - .foregroundStyle(.accent) error fixed.
      - Large SwiftUI body type-check issue reduced/refactored.
      - number-format interpolation compile errors fixed.
  6. Extract/scan flow UI redesign:
      - Progress ring/scanner-style loading treatment.
      - “Extracting receipt” progress placement adjusted (moved under image as requested).
      - Page naming/title updates from generic “AI scan” to context-based titles.
  7. OCR defaults/config behavior changed:
      - Local OCR enabled by default.
      - Gemini/OpenAI toggles default disabled.
  8. Debug startup timing text/toast work:
      - App-facing timing/debug display cleanup addressed in UI flow changes.
  9. Scanned items feature enhanced:
      - Extracted items shown for include/exclude review.
      - Scanned items moved above billing details.
      - Subtotal/tax/total tied to selected items math flow.
  10. Editing behavior fix:
      - Removed forced auto-sync between total and tax on every edit.
      - Both fields are now independently editable.
  11. Local learning improvements:
      - Added scanned item hints into learning payload (scannedItemHints) so OCR learning can use item-level signals
        too.
