I read another reviewer that had same thing happen to them. We have 2 adult kids and if my husband buys something at the grocery store or at a fast food place and I buy my own meal later or my kids do and u scan the receipts they flag ur account and disable your account. I was about to collect $10 In Rewards and that happened. What a scam!They are not as good as fetch. Smaller rewards for receipts submitted and smaller amount of points awarded for receipts. And after all that (you giving THEM your information on what you are buying- you are doing THEM a favor) they suspend your account. Deleted the app after I got that suspension email and will stick with FETCH! One time I logged in to upload my receipts and to find out they logged me out due to inactivity and I’m suspended in 30 days and wont be able to redeem my rewards. I spend years in uploading and using this app. Dont waste your time cos they’re NOT gonna give you anything. All my coins earned is gone! ### 1/5 — Scammers *2026-08-27, version 16.1.0* I used ReceiptJar consistently for YEARS and spent a huge amount of time scanning receipts. I successfully redeemed a $50 Amazon gift card and a $20 gift card in the past, so I had no reason to believe I was doing something wrong. Recently, I reached another $20 redemption and requested it. Instead of receiving my reward, my redemption was rejected and my entire account was suspended. The explanation? “Receipt Diving - Occasional.” What makes absolutely no sense to me is that I submitted receipts from my own purchases and, occasionally, receipts that members of my family gave me after they went shopping. Receipts don’t necessarily have the purchaser’s name on them, so I don’t understand how ReceiptJar decided that this was “receipt diving.” I was never clearly told which receipts supposedly violated the rules, what I specifically did wrong, or given any evidence explaining the decision. After YEARS of spending my time scanning receipts, this is extremely frustrating. Yes, I received two gift cards previously, but losing access to my account and having another $20 redemption rejected after putting in years of effort is ridiculous. If you are going to spend your time scanning receipts for this app, make sure you fully understand their rules before investing years of your time into it. ### 1/5 — Points all gone *2026-08-27, version 16.1.0* After spending many months capturing my receipt gathering points. One day or after an update all my points disappear. I’ve read a lot of other reviews that they did the same thing to other people. This looks like scam your data and don’t get any reward points from them. They will stop your account when your ask for redemption as below Hi there, Thank you for contacting us. We’re sorry to let you know that your account was suspended due to a long period of inactivity. This means there was no activity on the account, such as opening the app or uploading receipts, for an extended period of time. As stated in our Terms and Conditions, points from an inactive account are forfeited after 30 days of inactivity and are no longer eligible for redemption. This policy helps us keep the rewards program fair and sustainable for all our active members. Therefore, the account can no longer be reactivated, and any previously forfeited points cannot be reinstated. If you’d still like to continue using ReceiptJar, you’re welcome to create a new account using a different email address. This app limits the points within a timeframe and does not offer other options like games to accumulate extra points. I submitted legitimate receipts from my own household shopping, including receipts from household members, and ReceiptJar is now refusing to pay out by claiming the receipts are not mine. I would strongly encourage ReceiptJar to clearly explain: • What specifically qualifies as a “household” receipt; • What evidence they require to establish receipt ownership; • Why receipts that comply with their published household rule are being rejected at payout; and • Why users are not given a fair opportunity to correct or clarify the issue before their payout is refused.
