## What is Rechka?

Hours of recording, written out on the phone itself.

Rechka takes a file you already have — a lecture, an interview, a meeting, a voice memo — and writes it out in full, from the first minute to the last. Nothing is uploaded and nothing waits in a queue: the recognition runs on the iPhone, so a private conversation stays a private conversation.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Bring a recording — from Files, from Photos, from the share sheet of any app, or record one right now.
2. Wait. An hour of audio is usually a matter of about a minute on a recent iPhone.
3. Read it in the player: the phrase being spoken is highlighted, and a tap on any phrase moves the sound to that spot.

WHAT YOU GET

• The whole recording as text, however long it runs
• Twenty-five languages recognized on the device, among them languages the dictation built into iOS does not offer
• Who said what: the conversation split speaker by speaker (beta)
• Search across every transcript at once, with the words around the match
• A recorder that pauses and resumes, and video from the camera with the sound taken out of it
• Text and subtitles out: TXT and SRT
• Any audio or video file iPhone can open
• Translation and summary through the tools already built into iOS
• The share sheet: send a file to Rechka from any app without opening it first

EVERYTHING HAPPENS ON YOUR DEVICE

There is no server, no account and no sign-in. The app goes online once, so the system can fetch the recognition model, and after that it works in airplane mode. The audio never leaves the phone.
