### 4/5 — Syncing to multiple devices

*2020-02-02, version 1.0*

I love this app! Nice having our recipes all in one place. I wish we could sync to all of our devices though! That is the only thing I can think of adding/change!

### 4/5 — Mostly great and definitely worth it

*2020-01-11, version 1.0*

I love the look and simplicity of it! But, I have a ton of saved recipes in my phone in notes, and some are really long and can’t fit in one (or even two) screenshots. I tried to copy and paste to the “notes” section of the recipe, but you can’t scroll even though it lets you paste it all. Really too bad. Other than that I love it. Organized the way I want it, aesthetically pleasing. 99% perfect lol

### 4/5 — All good but...

*2019-01-02, version 1.0*

How can I move a recipe if I change my mine on what category it fits into? Looks like there is only add and delete option. Do I have to delete and re add.

### 4/5 — Great app

*2017-07-18, version 1.0*

Really great app.. nice layout and simple to use.. just wish you could save 3 photos - one for recipe photo, one for ingredients and one for directions

### 4/5 — More

*2017-03-12, version 1.0*

Would love to just copy and paste a link

### 4/5 — Recipe Binder

*2017-01-31, version 1.0*

Love the app but wish it would sync between devices!

### 4/5 — Awesome for non-food recipes

*2017-01-23, version 1.0*

I am currently using this app to put together a catalogue of hero cards for a game I play. I love the game, but one thing that miffs me is that there's not a list of evolution info anywhere online. This recipe organizer works perfectly for keeping track of costs and catalysts (ingredients) for evolving my cards, and I can organize them into different recipe categories (I have separated them by card affinity type: Fire, Water, Earth, Light, Dark). Great for non-food recipes! I want to be able to share this with my Guild! Please update to allow sharing/ syncing please, and it would be a perfect 5 star app! Thanks!

### 4/5 — Love!

*2016-10-28, version 1.0*

I too absolutely love this app! So user friendly and aesthetic. However, here is my "but.." I am also disappointed that it doesn't sync between devices. This is a feature that definitely needs to be added for us multiple Apple device users! That is the only reason it gets 4 instead of 5 stars.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Old version better

*2021-04-02, version 2.0.2*

I liked the old version with space for recipe and instructions. I don’t always have a photo of the dish. The new version is not up to the old one

### 1/5 — Great until latest update

*2020-12-14, version 2.0.0*

I really liked this app except that I couldn’t share my recipes with friends. Then they updated the app last week and now I have ads in the middle of my screen with no purchase out option, the notes font changed to something I can barely read, and it is sloooowwww because it is updating to the cloud.

**Developer response:** Hello Sqbee, thank you for your review and rating, although we’re a little bit disappointed that the plus of being able to share your recipes with friends does not outweigh the minus of the ads. | For the moment, the ads give us the possibility to continuously improve your Recipe Binder. E.g. to improve the notes font as you rightly point out and to keep your recipes safely stored in the cloud for as long as you live ;-) | Just to inform you, our programmers have a Recipe Binder update in the oven with a purchase out option for the ads. We will certainly notify you as soon as it’s available. | In the mean time, we wish you great joy using your Recipe Binder. And when sharing your recipes with the people you love. | Best regards, The Recipe Binder Kitchen Crew | PS: You are the first to indicate that the app is slow. Is it all the time or was it only during the initial upload of the recipes on your phone to the cloud? | PPS: Having this information, would you consider to reward us with an extra star? (or more of course ;-))

### 1/5 — Lost all recipes

*2020-12-13, version 2.0.0*

My recipes are supposed to be backed up to the cloud. After the last update I logged in no recipes. Found out the last update screwed everything up and now I have to wait for another update before I can possibly access them again. I have old family recipes I put directly into this app never wrote down now lost. They say somewhere on my phone but the current app can’t access the data

**Developer response:** Hello Jeff, sorry for the inconvenience, but the new version we asked you to wait for is now available. So please update your app once again and read the instructions on this help page: https://www.recipe-binder.com/support/syncing-old-recipes-fails. If you would still bump into any kind of problems, do not hesitate to contact our helpdesk via e-mail. We're here to help you. Sincerely, the Recipe Binder Kitchen Crew

### 1/5 — Update gone wrong

*2020-12-12, version 2.0.0*

It automatically updated. Gave me an option to upload all 300+ recipes I had previously saved, froze, shut down and now all of my recipes are gone. Just gone. Over 300 recipes. Lost.

### 1/5 — Too many glitches

*2017-03-30, version 1.0*

I have an iPad. This app offers exactly what I'm looking for and the instructions are easy to follow but it won't allow me to save picture taken.

### 2/5 — Was good

*2021-06-26, version 2.0.5*

After the last update will not allow you to save new recipes

### 2/5 — Another waste of space on iPad photo-saver app!

*2017-11-29, version 1.0*

You can do practically the same thing in Apple Notes app or any other Notes app. It lets you save recipe photos in categories. Plus, you need to spend lots of time taking photos of the dish and then the recipe. I recommend spending your money on a quality all-purpose Recipe app such as Paprika 3, which automatically places website recipes into a neat format for you on its app.

### 3/5 — Search feature

*2021-08-25, version 2.0.6*

This app would be perfect if you had a search option.

### 3/5 — Like the portability

*2020-12-19, version 2.0.2*

It is great being able to access my recipes easily at home or on the road. I have referred the app to friends and family. Hit a snag during the recent update, but it was eventually resolved and I am back in business!

**Developer response:** Hello Shelly, sorry for the bad joke, and for the inconvenience. But the good news is that if you did not delete the app on your phone, your recipes are still there. A new version of the app should fix the syncing problems you encountered. So please update your app to that latest version (2.0.2) and read the instructions on this help page: https://www.recipe-binder.com/support/syncing-old-recipes-fails. If you would still bump into any kind of problems, do not hesitate to contact our helpdesk via e-mail. We're here to help you. Sincerely, the Recipe Binder Kitchen Crew

### 3/5 — App is great for saving family recipes

*2018-11-19, version 1.0*

Inherited mother’s recipes some dating back to the late 1800’s early 1900’s which came from my great grandmother and grandmother all hand written. So now before lost forever able to photograph, write side notes they added, write a little history on each on who they came from.
Only three draw backs I have found with app.
1. Not able to import recipes from the internet
2. Once you have taken a photo of the recipe and placed in a category then later you can not remember where it is, There is no search option for keyword search.
3. Once recipe is placed in category and you find that recipe does not really fit there. There is no way to move it to another category.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — This is the best app for recipes !

*2018-10-12, version 1.0*

I am a chef on a yacht and I absolutely love this app. It saves me so much time being able to photograph my recipes , use it as a shopping list and share that with all my friends. I would strongly recommend this app to anyone.

### 5/5 — Easy to use! Must have!

*2017-07-14, version 1.0*

Love this app! My family and I are using it daily to add recipes and notes to improve on what we've tried! Helps to have recipes to share and for grocery shopping. Thank you!

### 5/5 — Love this app, but...

*2017-03-23, version 1.0*

For the price, I really can't complain. I do wish that there was a third place to upload another picture. I like the first one to be a picture of the food, the second for ingredients and the third one for instructions. My workaround is to use PicStitch but sometimes that third spot would be great for longer recipes. Yes,I know that there's a place to make notes and I could use that; but I tried and it would get lost. I highly recommend this app!

### 5/5 — A must have!!

*2017-01-02, version 1.0*

Starting off the year right by Neal planning and this app is just what I needed to keep me organized and on track! No more lugging around or riffling through my cookbooks for favorite recipes. AND it's free!! Awesome app, thank you so much!

### 5/5 — Wish it would sync between iPad & iPhone

*2016-08-13, version 1.0*

I love the app but I wish you were able to sync between devices. Maybe this is something they can update in the near future.

### 5/5 — This app is so great and easy to use!

*2016-07-11, version 1.0*

I have stacks of magazines with amazing recipes I've flagged. I had seeing the stack so then I'll rip out pages which is just so much messier. I don't want an app where I need to type everything out so this catalog where you can just snap a picture is just what I needed. I'm so glad I found it!

### 4/5 — Great app

*2024-01-14*

This app is just what I have been looking for, and over all I love it. I do have a couple suggestions though. 1. When saving the recipe it says “We save this recipe in your Recipe Binder”. The poor English of this sentence really grates on me. I wish it would say “We are saving your recipe” or something similar, that is in better English structure. 2. Allow us to upload more then one photo from our photo album at a time for one recipe. It is cumbersome to go to my photo album, pick a photo, save it, go back etc. If I could pick all the photos I want at one time, it would be perfect. I sometimes have several photos for one recipe. 3. A lot of the pictures that I upload end up being blurry when I am wanting to make the recipe and tap on the picture to enlarge it so I can see it better. It is then blurry and out of focus. Is there a way to fix this bug?

### 4/5 — Great app

### 4/5 — Great for collecting recipes

*2022-12-27, version 2.0.7*

My only complaint is that I can’t share the entire binder, only one recipe at a time. I would love to be able to share all the family recipes I’ve added with my family without doing it one by one.

### 4/5 — Almost perfect!

*2020-05-21, version 1.0*

Needs to allow for more than one photo of a recipe, if the recipe is more than one page then you can’t have both pages unless you use the item photo as the first part of the recipe.
