It saves me SO much time bc I no longer have to screen shot, or scroll through YouTube videos or Pinterest or Instagram or Facebook to find saved recipes. It’s all in one place and is super easy! Tell all your friends and family! Everyone loves it! ### 5/5 — Freaking perfect!! *2021-11-21* The features of this app really speak directly to me, as someone who cooks almost daily and for all of the holidays. I can send a recipe with a huge wall of text to the app directly from my phone’s browser and it’ll cut out the noise so I can focus on the essentials. Amazing all by itself, but it doesn’t stop there. With the most recent release I can edit recipes, put a hashtag like “#thanksgiving” in the notes, and then search to see only my Thanksgiving recipes, for example. I also like the feature where you can tell it to keep the device from going to sleep while you’re cooking so I don’t have to try to tap the display with messy hands to keep it from turning off in the middle of cooking. Must have app for anyone that searches the web for recipes ### 5/5 — Pinterest Replacement *2020-01-26* For years I have used Pinterest as my cookbook. But you always run the chance of the website going down or the link changing. That and grabbing new things of the web is a pain. Clipdish solves all that with a simple "save to clipdish" in your share menu and locally stored recipes. No more scrolling through pages of unrelated anecdotes on food blogs! No more pop-up video ads that crash my ENTIRE PHONE! One click and the recipe from the blog get imported into an easy to read format. No my fumbling through the long posts while trying to cook! I just want a cookbook to hold my recipe, a free one. Instead everybody wants to charge and and requires you to have an account which means I have to sign in, create an account and then it says we sent you an email, but it didn’t. ### 1/5 — Malfunction *2024-01-12, version 2023.12.1* Can’t open the app! ### 1/5 — Clip dish *2021-12-10, version 1.6.0* i thought this was great until i actually looked at the clipped recipes from All recipes and yumly, popular sites. It will list the ingredients, but not the amounts!!!! Very frustrating. Now i have to go to the actual website where it came from to find amounts if the website is still available. No help. Dont bother!!! ### 1/5 — Rip off *2021-04-17* These apps are just tiring and if they read up on this they’d know they always fail. What this does: These people are charging for ripping off bloggers and content that does not belong to them. Let’s just take all the hard work someone else put in a recipe and rip them off. If people keep supporting this business model, there will eventually be no more bloggers and no more recipes. To the dev: You guys just got reported in a large FB group so wait for all the copyright infringement claims 👍 ### 1/5 — Jana Kayley *2020-04-08, version 1.0.5* I was really digging the app until I was surprised with an annual subscription fee in order to access all the recipes I had saved. That information is better told upfront; advertised as a free trial period at minimum. The app is nice, but still in early development. Not worth $15.99/year yet. Disappointed. ### 1/5 — Hooks you in them wants to charge *2020-03-02, version 1.0.5* When downloading the app there is no info regarding a $15.99 a year payment to retrieve your recipes. The app is a great concept, but there are plenty out there for free. Imagine my surprise when I went to make a previously viewed recipe and the app informs me must pay $1.99 a month or $15.99 a year. ### 3/5 — Clip dish *2022-11-04* So when I first got this app, I loved it because so many recipes online could be saved to it. Now, many recipe sites that previously could be saved are longer able to be saved to the app. So it’s becoming useless to me. **Developer response:** We just made some changes to our clipping software which fixes a ton of sites. Unfortunately, you can only save 5 recipes before you have to pay a subscription fee to unlock more space.
