## What is Recipe Camera?

Just snap the ingredient list in your cookbook. The AI reads the ingredients and amounts, then scales them to any number of servings.

■ Perfect for
- Cooking a 4-serving recipe for 2
- Shopping without carrying the book — just the ingredient list
- Batch-cooking 6 servings from a 2-serving recipe

■ Three simple steps
1. Snap the ingredient list in a cookbook you own
2. The AI reads the ingredients, amounts and servings (you can correct anything on the spot)
3. Pick how many servings you want. Share the list for grocery shopping

■ Scaling that respects the cooking
- Main ingredients (meat, vegetables…) scale in proportion
- Seasonings are scaled conservatively when increasing (about 1.7x for double servings)
- "To taste" stays as it is, and cooking times are never scaled
- The original amount from the book is always shown next to the converted one

■ Estimate from a dish photo
You can also let the AI estimate the ingredients from a photo of a finished dish (as a rough guide).

■ What we care about
- This app is intended for personal use with books you own
- The AI reads only the ingredient list — never the cooking instructions
- Your photos and recipes are stored only on your device

■ A Google Gemini API key is required
You can get one for free with a Google account (no credit card required). The free tier allows dozens of analyses per day. The setup page opens right from the app's settings.

Note: AI can make mistakes. Please compare the results with your book.
