## What is Recipe Folio?

You're at a friend's place and spot a recipe book on their counter. You're flipping through a cookbook at a store. Your grandmother hands you an index card with her handwriting on it. You see something on a screen you're about to close.

You don't have time to type it out. So you take a photo - and it ends up buried in your camera roll with a thousand other pictures. Good luck finding it when you actually need it.

That's what this fixes.

Snap a photo of any recipe. When you're ready - could be right then, could be later - crop to the text, and the app reads it, organizes it into a clean format with ingredients, methods and saves it. No more scrolling through photos trying to find that one recipe.

Whether you're a home cook collecting family recipes or a chef grabbing ideas on the go, it works the same way. See a recipe worth keeping, take a photo, deal with it when you have a minute.

On iPhone 15 Pro and newer, everything processes on your device - nothing leaves your phone. On other devices, it uses OpenAI to format the text (costs about a tenth of a cent per recipe). Either way, the recipe ends up readable and organized.
