### 5/5 — Best recipe Ap ever!

*2026-07-18*

Love that I can store my own recipes and send the ingredients to my shopping list!

### 5/5 — So good it makes me want to cook/bake more!

*2026-07-17*

I’ve used a number of recipe apps and some were descent but none of them really stuck. This one does it all and is so user friendly it hardly took any time to get used to how anything works. Every feature I loved from other apps are all in one place. Any time I cook these days, I always import the recipe I’m using to follow the recipe through the app, rather than scrolling through a blog, looking for the next steps. The built in timers and tap-to-see measurements while in cook mode are 🤌🤌 perfection. Splurge for the upgrade to pro, uploading recipes from a URL takes seconds, it is the most time-saving, useful thing ever! Plus lots of other great features. Thanks, recipe pod, for making me hit the gym more often…

### 5/5 — Ok, I’m sold

*2026-04-29*

I’m not generally one for recipe apps. I like what I like, and don’t often go looking for new recipes. But…

What I REALLY like about this app is the ability to upload my own collection even from photographs of old handwritten recipes. Maybe that’s a been around for a while and I’ve just never noticed, but that’s a game-changer.

And since I’m already in there anyway, I’ll admit that some of the other recipes in there DO look delicious! Maybe an old dog can learn a new trick or two?

### 5/5 — Everything I’ve always wanted from a digital recipe

*2026-04-27*

As someone who has resorted to taking screenshots of recipes on websites instead of dodging endless ads and scrolling through the author’s autobiography, this app has been SO HELPFUL. Each step of the recipe is on a separate page for easy swiping, there are built-in timers and amounts of each ingredient on each page so you don’t have to keep scrolling back and forth. It’s all in one place!

You can upload your own recipes or a link from a website and it automatically formats it to the app. You can easily save and share recipes with other profiles.

There is a built-in shopping list feature that allows you to add ingredients straight from the list to the shopping list.

Highly highly recommend this app, makes cooking SO much easier

**Developer response:** Thank you, kurmquat. The "screenshot the recipe to escape the ads and autobiography" workflow is exactly what I'm trying to kill — so glad the per-step pages and built-in timers are landing for you. Happy cooking!

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.5.0 — 2026-07-30

RecipePod 1.5.0 is here — our biggest update yet for hands-free cooking, smarter recipe imports, and a totally rebuilt shopping list.

HANDS-FREE COOKING ASSISTANT
Cook Mode now runs on a faster, more reliable voice assistant. Ask for an ingredient amount, jump to the next step, or start a timer — all without touching your screen. We fixed audio playback issues, tightened wake-word accuracy, and made the assistant go quiet during the right moments so it never talks over you.

SMARTER RECIPE IMPORTS
Multi-part recipes — think dough, filling, and frosting — now import with clean, separate ingredient sections instead of one long list. Works across more recipe sites than ever, and we fixed a bug that could drop ingredient amounts written as fractions (like ½ or ¾) during import.

SHOPPING LIST, REBUILT
Swipe to delete items, edit and rename lists inline, check off everything at once, and long-press any ingredient to add it straight to a list. Duplicate items now merge automatically, and the shopping list header got a fresh new look with progress tracking.

FASTER, SMOOTHER APP
Recipes and instructions now load instantly from cache, with polished loading animations and no more flickering when you switch screens.

ANDROID IMPROVEMENTS
New edge-swipe-back gesture for easier one-handed navigation, smoother Cook Mode with no more black-screen flicker on high-refresh-rate phones, and fixed voice assistant audio playback.

SMARTER PERMISSIONS
We now ask for camera, microphone, and notification access only when a feature actually needs it — with a clear, plain-English explanation before the system prompt appears.

### 1.4.0 — 2026-07-12

Cooking just got a serious upgrade.

Truly hands-free cooking — Your AI cooking assistant is now fully voice-activated. Just say
"Hey Pea Pod" and ask for the next step, a substitution, or a timer — no tapping, no scrubbing
back through the recipe with messy hands. It's like having a sous-chef who never touches your
phone.

Now on Android too — Recipe Pod is officially on Android, so you can finally share your
cookbook with friends and family no matter what phone they carry.

Cook Mode front and center — The step-by-step cooking view is easier to reach and better than
ever for following along at the stove.

A fresh look and smoother navigation — We polished the interface and reorganized how you move
through the app so everything feels faster and more natural.

A warmer welcome — New here? A quick intro walks you through everything Recipe Pod can do.

Plus dozens of smaller improvements and fixes throughout.

Happy cooking!

Share Recipes Your Way
A new custom share sheet makes it easy to send any recipe to friends, family, or your favorite apps.

Smarter Cook Mode
AI answers now slide up in a sheet so you never lose your place in the steps. Tap zones are larger and more forgiving, and step text scales perfectly no matter how long the instructions are.

Search & Filter Your Originals
Find your own recipes faster with search and filtering on the Originals tab, sorted newest first by default.

Bug Fixes & Polish
