### 3/5 — Not bad

*2016-10-26, version 1.9*

I like that I can add all my own recipes, but there should be support for inputting recipes, whether from an email or taking a photo of a recipe, or importing from a website.
Also, when your ingredient list is long, as in one single ingredient, you can't see the rest of the line that you wrote! For example, one of my ingredients is listed: "3 medium jalapeños, seeds and membranes removed, finely diced" but on your app, it cuts off the word membranes and won't show you the rest of what you wrote. Your directions don't cut off at one line, so why do your ingredients? This is really annoying.
There should also be a place at the top for you to list how long prep time is, baking/cooking time, and how many the recipe serves.

### 2/5 — A good start

*2016-10-07, version 1.9*

This app has potential and with the addition of recipe name and a notes field could become very handy. Unfortunately at the moment it is not intuitive or useful

### 3/5 — Technological

*2016-07-20, version 1.8*

Hate to rely on technology for a recipe

### 3/5 — Well..

*2016-02-29, version 1.6*

I like the minimalistic and clean design. This app has so much potential
Don't like so much that
- recipes cannot be shared within the app (sharing only by mail or text). App seems to run offline on each individual device with no way to link content.
- recipes are easily dumped by accident with no way to recover
- ingredients can only be typed in one at a time. Would appreciate ways to copy and paste a paragraph containing all ingredients quickly into app.

Conclusion is do not buy if the plan to share stuff within the app with friends or family or if you have a lot of existing recipes you want to move into this beautifully designed app.
If none of that applies, go for it!!

### 2/5 — New Categories

*2016-01-20, version 1.2*

Looks like a decent app, but, there is no obvious way to add or delete or modify categories. This really reduces the apps usefullness!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — No way

*2017-09-28, version 1.10*

No way to get pictures of my hundreds of recipes to the app!
I tried it but it failed!
Buyer beware

### 1/5 — Still no data export

*2017-09-27, version 1.10*

Pro's:
- Pretty app

Cons:
- no export of all recipes in one go (e.g. if you need to stop using this app, maybe because you prefer another one, or maybe this one gets abandoned, you will want to move your recipes somewhere else, like maybe a new app — but if you have, let's say 100 recipes, and it takes you 5 mins to copy them one by one, it will take you over 8 HOURS to copy the 100 recipes! But if you could automatically export them all to CSV file, and maybe PDF, you would be finished in less than 1 minute!)
- no backup (e.g if you accidentally changed or deleted a recipe, you cannot get it back)

### 1/5 — I thought it was a good idea

*2016-07-24, version 1.8*

It is terribly difficult to add a recipe to this app. You have to type every ingredient and every instruction. You need to add a way to add a picture or a complete recipe like from Pinterest or something. I have so many recipes, and a lot of them are either in picture form, or saved from text. There is no way to add these recipes. Otherwise this would be just what I'm looking for.

### 1/5 — Needs an import button

*2016-04-09, version 1.6*

For the most part it needs to be able to import from the web or even other apps

### 1/5 — Great idea but poor execution

*2016-04-08, version 1.6*

I had hoped to consolidate and organise all my recipes into this one app but that hasn't been the case. While I could manually add recipes from my photo album into this app, all the thumbnail icons look the same, so it is impossible to see at a brief glance which recipe is which. Furthermore, I could not find a way to organise them into categories.

### 1/5 — Waste.

*2016-04-08, version 1.6*

You can see nothing on the categories. Click> blank page! That's it

### 1/5 — Recipes

*2016-04-08, version 1.6*

Just downloaded app.
Glad it was free
So far I'm not impressed
No instructions, not intuitive how to start
I'll play with it when I have time but it doesn't look like it is as easy as they say.

### 1/5 — Unforgiving and inadequate

*2016-04-08, version 1.6*

The "x" to delete an ingredient or a direction step is right below the save button. Too easy to delete by accident. Does not allow direction steps to be re-ordered. Does not have a dedicated place for how many servings, what temperature to cook at, preparation time, notes, or variations. Weight calculator has two "6" buttons and no "8". Trash can on edit page looks more like a stockpot. It would be useful to have a scaling feature so that you can decide how many servings you want and the app could tell you how much of each ingredient to use. I'm deleting it.

### 1/5 — Looking for a better app

*2016-01-23, version 1.3*

Very simple to use but there's no way to edit a saved recipe or change the photo.

### 2/5 — Good idea, buggy app

*2017-09-28, version 1.10*

Good for simple recipes. Interface is basic and clean.

However, this app has a number of problems and limitations:
1) For recipes with many ingredients, entries will get duplicated or incorrectly captured as another ingredient.
2) When re-ordering ingredients list, entries will get duplicated and are captured as another ingredient.
3) No import function, need to manually type in. Ok for simple, basic instructions, terrible for tiered instructions.
4) Photo-alignment is silly. Uploads are scaled in portrait, files are viewed in landscape.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Awesome App

*2016-07-30, version 1.8*

I like this app it have a lot of features and have a nice design.

### 5/5 — Love it - Near Perfect! :)

*2016-07-21, version 1.8*

Very well designed, intuitive. Love that a recipe can be in more than one category and I can create/modify categories and photos. Very handy to be able to quickly email a copy to a friend/guest. :)

Adding the following features would make it absolutely perfect:
• option to change the order of the categories (drag in edit mode)
• an extra field for each recipe to enter the source of the recipe (i.e. book/mag title, friend's name, etc.)

### 5/5 — The BEST!!

*2016-03-14, version 1.6*

I have long been looking for a recipe app that allows me to store all of my recipes. I have finally found it! This app allows me to record all of my recipes in one place, with easy access and a beautiful layout!! Would definitely recommend this app to anyone!!

Feature request...
There are a few things that I would like adding...

1. Allow me to add photos to the individual directions :)

2. Allow me to add multiple photos for my recipes.

That's all :D

### 5/5 — Awesome app!

*2016-02-22, version 1.6*

This app is so beautifully design and easy to use. I like how you can take pictures of your food and add it to your recipe item as a visible reminder of what your about to make. Also, to add recipes and directions is really easy too. This app is definitely worth the money. I really love it.

### 5/5 — i love this app

*2016-02-10, version 1.6*

i love this app

### 5/5 — Best app for recipes!

*2016-01-20, version 1.2*

I downloaded this app thinking that it would be a nice, clean, easy-to-use app which would allow me to keep track of my recipes, and I was not mistaken. It has a great UI to start with. Then it also has all these cool things like a temperature converter and a weight converter. It's really great! I absolutely love it. The app design is *beautiful*. It's clean and a pleasure to use. I don't think I'll need any other apps than this one for my recipes.

The only downside I can see is that you can't edit recipes (or so it seems). It's still a great app nonetheless.

### 4/5 — Great App!

*2018-12-18, version 1.10*

I work as a chef and use the app to keep track of base recipes and new recipes that I develop on the fly. Once you add and/or edit a few recipes and fine tune your categories, it’s super easy to use! Could use a few tweaks, like a place to enter recipe yields, maybe in a future update!

### 4/5 — Nice app

*2018-04-08, version 1.10*

Nice and clean looking app, was exactly what I was looking for.
Editing a recipe can be a bit buggy. Sometimes a step or ingredient will disappear when moving them up or down but otherwise it works fine.
Also, would like the ability to change the colour of the green bar in the recipes tab to something else but that’s my own personal taste.

### 4/5 — It’s Simple!

*2017-09-27, version 1.10*

Simple can be good! It’s a good way to get your recipes on your phone or iPad. It’s easy to use, just add the ingredients then add the directions step by step. Hit Save and you’re done. It appears that you should make sure you have everything right before you hit Save. I don’t think you can edit the recipe after you have saved it. I might be wrong but I didn’t find a way to edit it after saving it.

### 4/5 — Beautiful app

*2016-08-21, version 1.8*

Beautiful application. Easy to use. I suggest to add the following features.
-To be able to sort the categories by alphabetical order or else.
-To add other category in the recipe such as: preparation time, notes
-To add the sub-category in the ingredients section.
-To be able to print the recipe.
-That the application works also on the iPad and on iCloud.
