## What is RecipeVault?

RecipeVault is your own personal recipe box — a warm, beautiful home for the dishes you actually cook. Save your recipes with a photo, ingredients, and steps, then let two genuinely useful tools do the work in the kitchen.

SCALE ANY RECIPE
Cooking for two tonight, or twelve on the weekend? Tap the serving stepper and every ingredient amount recalculates instantly. RecipeVault rounds to friendly kitchen fractions — 1/2, 1/3, 3/4 cup — so you never have to measure out "1.33 cups" of anything.

HANDS-FREE COOK MODE
When it's time to cook, switch to full-screen Cook Mode. Each step is shown in large, easy-to-read type, and the screen stays awake so you're not tapping with floury hands. Durations written in your steps (like "simmer 20 minutes") turn into tappable timers with a local alarm.

YOUR RECIPES, BEAUTIFULLY ORGANIZED
- A photo-first grid of everything you've saved
- Search and filter by tags like Breakfast, Dinner, Dessert or Vegan
- Mark favorites with a tap
- Check off ingredients as you shop or cook

MADE FOR REAL KITCHENS
- Add a recipe in seconds: title, photo (camera or library), base servings, ingredients with units (cup, tbsp, tsp, g, oz, ml, piece), and steps
- Choose US or metric default units
- Light and dark themes
- Export your whole cookbook as text or a JSON backup to share or keep safe

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
RecipeVault works completely offline. There are no accounts and no sign-ups — every recipe and photo stays on your device. Nothing is uploaded to a server.
