## What is RecoverHelper?

RecoverHelper is a photo and video safety kit for iPhone, and the companion to the RecoverHelper desktop recovery app for Windows and Mac.

CLEAN UP YOUR LIBRARY
• Duplicates: finds exact copies of the same photo and shows which one to keep.
• Similar photos: groups near-identical shots (bursts, retakes) so you can keep the best one.
• Large videos and largest photos: see what is really taking up space.
• Screenshots: review and clear old screenshots in one place.
Everything you remove goes to Recently Deleted, so a mistake can be undone for 30 days.

HEALTH CHECK
• Finds photos and videos that iOS can no longer open.
• Quick mode checks the whole library; deep mode fully decodes originals in a date range.
• Items stored only in iCloud are skipped, never downloaded.

STORAGE INSIGHTS
• Device storage at a glance, library size by type and by year, and your ten biggest files.

RECOVERY ASSISTANT AND GUIDES
• Answer two questions (where the files were, what happened) and get the right steps, with an honest estimate of your chances.
• Guides for iPhone Recently Deleted and iCloud, memory cards, USB drives, formatted disks and files that will not open.

UNLOCK DESKTOP RECOVERY
• The RecoverHelper desktop app scans drives, memory cards and USB sticks for lost photos and videos. Scan the QR code it shows with this app to unlock the Recover step on that computer, and keep a history of the PCs you unlocked.

PRIVACY
• All analysis runs on your device. Your photos are never uploaded.
• No account, no tracking, no ads. The only network request is the QR unlock, which sends the code from the QR and nothing else.
