### 2/5 — Not happy with ReCovr

*2026-08-05, version 1.72.3*

My transponder stopped working 1 month ago and I have not been able to get a new one from my RV DEALER or the ReCovr support office. No correspondence when it went dark and no reply when I am searching for a replacement. Check out other products like LoJack before you buy.

### 2/5 — Slow

*2026-07-27, version 1.72.3*

The updates take a long time, they’re not live. There’s areas of the country the locator doesn’t work. The service was expensive, there’s much better option’s available.

### 2/5 — Glitchy

*2026-03-21, version 1.72.3*

App works ok but glitchy some times will not be very accurate app needs update with attention to accuracy.

### 3/5 — Frustrated

*2026-02-20, version 1.72.3*

App does not show location of vehicle at all times even when battery life is full and even if after an update or refresh

### 2/5 — Location updates lag

*2026-02-14, version 1.72.3*

Half the time, it takes a long time to refresh the vehicle location or notify that it moved. Example: It has been parked in my garage, stationary, for 3 minites before notifying me it has moved 15 minutes prior.

### 3/5 — Generally speaking does the job

*2026-01-23, version 1.72.3*

Disappointing I cannot list my car's accurate color which is iridium silver but your application does not allow it I'm disappointed

### 2/5 — useless for the average consumer

*2026-01-05*

unless you’re an actual car dealer, this app and recovery unit are useless. The app itself has not user-friendly, and for some reason the unit is hard to find 95% of the time. It was put in my lease car by the dealer without my knowledge. I don’t think they were trying to hide it, just the sales person I worked with didn’t mention it. Turns out lease car. I found it in the paperwork. In any case I found the app in the App Store, loaded it and use it to track my car during transport to another state for an extended vacation. Barely ever got his signal. Fortunately I also put an apple tracker in the car that worked flawlessly for three days of transport. Now one year into the tracker it sends a message that it’s not operating and they need to send me a new one. Vague information how I’m even supposed to contact them. The whole thing is a joke

### 3/5 — High cost low return

*2025-10-24, version 1.72.3*

For the price out only updates once a day. Even when I pressed for a one time refresh it still said the vehicle was somewhere it wasn’t

### 1/5 — Not impressed

*2024-11-23, version 1.69.4*

I get alert when vehicle moves however when I try to locate the vehicle it’s still showing location at home and if I want to update location I have to wait over 10 min! This would be so much better if it actually showed a live moving target.

### 1/5 — A complete scam and garbage.

*2024-10-17, version 1.68.10*

This thing is great at letting you know where your vehicle was hours ago. Even when you force a location search it doesn’t update. Save yourself money and buy a $30 AirTag. Works better than this. Cost the dealer nothing and you hundreds!!

### 1/5 — Useless

*2024-07-30, version 1.66.10*

Very disappointed with this app. It doesn’t track your car accurately and takes forever to locate it. Your car will be dismantled and sold before they locate it. Big time buyer’s remorse!

### 2/5 — Why?

*2024-02-28*

I found this under a seat under a car I bought 6 months ago. I googled what it is, and then I thought the last owner must have left it. Should I trash it, I don’t want anybody tracking me? Then I find out I paid $500 without my knowledge. The dealership didn’t even tell me it was there!! What a crock everybody is making money for this stupid thing I don’t want!!!!! $500 for 3 years without even getting my permission!!!

**Developer response:** We're sorry to hear your dealer didn't explain this to you the way they should have. We do not approve of them selling our product without fully informing you of the benefits of what you're buying. That said, if you still want to use your RecovR service, it can still provide great value to you to help you find your car if you forgot where you parked, want to be notified if it's moved without your permission, or especially to help law enforcement find it quickly if it's ever stolen. No one can ever locate your vehicle except for you, so your privacy is ensured. And if your car is ever stolen and not recovered, there may also be a cash benefit for you (check with your dealer for details). So even though this came as a surprise to you (again, that's NOT supposed to happen!), hopefully you can get value out of the product. Please call us at 833-225-9557 if you have questions or need help or wish us to deactivate the device.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Useless

*2026-05-22, version 1.72.3*

Downloaded the app and can’t register the vehicle. No number to support. The app doesn’t work.

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2026-01-01, version 1.72.3*

My locator stop working months ago I tray to order new one online and on the phone and they keep Laing to me that’s on the way whit out give me tracking number order number nothing … I been for month whit out service. Don’t get involved whit this company it’s a pure scam

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2025-11-07, version 1.72.3*

Begins scan but never does anything. Doesn’t help me locate keys ever!

### 1/5 — Forced to buy

*2025-08-07, version 1.72.0*

Placerville Toyota FORCED ME TO BUY THIS. An apple tag works better.

### 1/5 — Poor location reporting

*2025-06-03, version 1.71.30*

Every location ping from this app is off by at least a mile. Don’t get fooled by salespeople trying to sell you on this product.

### 1/5 — Garbage app; poor support

*2025-04-08*

One would think for the amount of money dealers charge for this, it would have better functionality than a $30 Airtag — but you’d be wrong! The only option for notifications is a binary on/off for when the vehicles moves—it’s almost as if the developers never heard of notification fatigue (or the product managers were too busy with their cash grab scheme to be bothered to add anything beyond that).

$750 my dealer charged me for this and I can’t even set a geofence based notification.

As if that wasn’t bad enough, the support team seems to be paid by how quickly they can send a pre-canned answer and doesn’t even bother to your read your question entirely.

Refuse delivery of this. It’s garbage.

### 1/5 — Scammed by car Honda car salesman

*2025-03-14, version 1.70.2*

I was told this was installed on all new cars and required to pay it which I did. Totally NOT true. I was not given choice.

### 1/5 — Slow to update

*2025-02-04, version 1.70.2*

Very slow to update. Better options out there for gps tracking
Save your money

### 1/5 — Not updated on time

*2025-02-01, version 1.70.2*

Cheap tracker way better 100x

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — RecovR is Awesome!

*2025-12-21, version 1.72.3*

I truly enjoy this service & system. It keeps me updated & I know my sons whereabouts.

### 5/5 — Love Recovr

*2025-09-05*

I love this product! I have the habit of losing my parking place and keys, so when my dealer told me about Recovr I was sold! Usually I’m against upgrades when buying a car, but this feels like a no brainer. They even showed me how they could set up a device for my son if I ever buy them a car in the future. Good product!

### 5/5 — Great product

*2025-02-07, version 1.70.2*

User friendly and easy to use.

### 5/5 — Great product

*2024-03-19*

Helps me easily find my keys around the house

### 5/5 — Love it !

*2024-02-27*

We have this device in both of my teenagers’ car. We use it very often to locate the cars. After 2 years both batteries are still over 80%! Quite impressive.

**Developer response:** Family safety is a great use for RecovR! We're so glad it's helping your family stay safe and healthy! Our best wishes to you and your teenagers!

### 5/5 — Recover always let’s me know

*2024-02-23, version 1.64.5*

No issues what so ever when using this app. Glad I put this in my new vehicle when I got it!

### 5/5 — Very useful app for tracking vehicles and keys

*2024-02-23*

Our whole family uses RecovR in order to keep tabs on our vehicles and keys and it works very well. After some initial hiccups, the app now works perfectly and accurately. We’re very glad to be using it.

### 5/5 — Great for Reassurance

*2024-02-23*

App is great. Anytime I want to check on my car it’s easy to understand what Im looking at. I’m able to get an update on my vehicle in seconds. I would highly recommend RecoveR.

**Developer response:** We are grateful to you for being a valued customer, Leo! Many thanks, and we're really glad you're enjoying the app. We hope you'll never need to use Theft Recovery Mode, but if you do, we'll be there to help you get your car back fast!

### 5/5 — Works great

*2024-02-22*

Not a live tracking solution but useful for keeping track of my car and some nice peace of mind that if it is ever stolen I’m covered. I don’t own a Kia but if I did I would FOR SURE want one of these.

**Developer response:** Thanks for your feedback! RecovR works great for everyone, but indeed VERY useful for cars that have knowns security vulnerabilities. And because it's not wired into the car, it's much harder for thieves to find and disable!

### 5/5 — Found My Keys

*2024-02-22, version 1.64.5*

I was able to find my misplaced keys in the laundry before I accidentally washed them.
