### 4/5 — Pretty Good

*2026-01-28, version 9.1.2*

I would love to be able to reorder my list of items.

### 5/5 — ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Perfect for Boiler Service Planning

*2025-09-07, version 8.0.6*

Recurrence is an excellent app that makes scheduling yearly boiler maintenance simple and stress-free. I use it for planning customer boiler services, and it’s been a game-changer for staying on top of both upcoming and overdue visits.

The interface is clean and easy to use, so setting up recurring reminders only takes a minute. Once set, everything is clearly displayed, meaning I can see at a glance which customers are due or overdue. No more digging through spreadsheets or paper diaries—it’s all there in one place.

If you’re in the heating trade and need a straightforward tool to keep on top of annual services, Recurrence is spot on. Simple, reliable, and incredibly useful.

### 5/5 — Flexible and easy to use tasks app

*2025-05-12, version 8.0.3*

I needed a new routines app after my existing one switched to a subscription model. I have lots of tasks, some with complex scheduling, so I needed something flexible. However, I also wanted an app that wasn't filled with unnecessary features or had a cluttered interface.

I'm happy to say this app ticks all the boxes. Routines are highly customisable, for instance I have a task set daily from Sunday to Thursday only. You can even schedule tasks only on certain days of the week, month or even year!

Tasks can be scheduled on specific dates, repeated from the last completion, or simply ticked off as needed. You can create categories for your tasks and filter them for clarity. You can choose to have single or multiple notifications (or none!) for individual tasks.

The ability to skip and pause tasks is fantastic! I have a few tasks that only apply during school term time, so I can pause these during holidays. I occasionally skip tasks that are scheduled daily but don't need doing.

I've been using the Flylady technique for my household cleaning chores. While this app doesn't have a strict setting for this method, I'm able to set my zones on a rolling 5 week schedule which is perfectly ample.

You can customise how tasks are displayed on the main page, so you really do only see what you want to see. Time periods can easily be collapsed and expanded, again to reduce clutter but also to ensure your schedule is quickly visible when needed.

There's an overall history tab, but you can also view history for individual tasks. The settings tab will let you assign default values for new tasks and how you'd like various parts of the app to appear.

If you want to share tasks with another person using the app, you can even do that too!

The interactive widget is incredibly useful and I rarely have to visit the app itself. Once set up with all my tasks, they appear on the widget at the right times and I can immediately mark them as done.

The only thing I can think of that is missing from this app that I might use is sub-tasks. However, categories can be used to achieve this if required.

The app is in active development and the developer is responsive to feedback.

The reasonably-priced lifetime purchase was pretty much a no-brainer for me - there's a free trial so you can see if it works for you first. Family sharing is enabled too, so you can take advantage of the task-sharing feature at no extra cost!

### 5/5 — Понравилось⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

*2025-03-24*

Не хватает звукового и вибро взаимодействия с интерфейсом

### 3/5 — Missing something obvious

*2025-03-13, version 7.0.6*

Why not add a simple feature for a one time task??

### 5/5 — It Works Well

*2024-12-05, version 7.0.3*

Bone simple to use. Does what it says it will. Very useful. Get it.

### 5/5 — I love this app

*2024-11-04, version 7.0.2*

This is one of the best apps in the Apple Store.

### 5/5 — Excellent app

*2024-10-27*

I am really enjoying this app so far. I like that you can make it so you only see what is due today and minimize the 7 day look and forever look. (But you can also check those 2 other views whenever you want). One thing that might be nice, and maybe there is a way to do this already, but it would be nice to be able to put in one-off things as well so that I can have everything in one place. So for example, if I only need to prepare for a specific lecture once, then I can still put that as a task in Recurrence. Other than that, I really love this app and the paid version is worth it.

### 5/5 — Best app to keep on top of odd jobs

*2024-10-06, version 7.0.2*

I never write reviews but felt obliged for this app. I always wanted an app that could remind me to complete important jobs that swing back round every couple of weeks, months or year. I tried numerous apps, but they never lived up to my expectations. However, this app is perfect, and I have been using it regularly since I downloaded it and upgraded to premium. Best app out there that does reoccurring todos!!

### 4/5 — Great app, loving the recent improvements, need a Tomorrow option.

*2024-09-29, version 7.0.1*

I’ve been using this app for a couple of years now. It started out great, with an awesome interface, and the additions over the last 6-8 months have been fantastic. I’m loving the new ‘Next 7 Days’ grouping but I’d love to see the addition of a ‘Tomorrow’ option as well. I’d also be very interested to see sub-categories too. Even without those additions, I will still be using this app because it’s definitely the best recurring task app out there. For me, I think the only real negative I can mention is how the Ordering section works. As someone with ADHD, I like to break big tasks into sub-tasks, so it would be great if the Ordering section was more user friendly for someone who has A LOT of tasks in the app.

### 5/5 — Great and Simple App

*2024-09-19, version 7.0.1*

A very good app to keep track of recurrent dates and important activities. The support team is very good and fast.

I do recommend this app.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2024-07-04, version 6.0.1*

Been using it for a few years. Happy there is an option for a lifetime purchase. Worth it.

### 5/5 — Almost perfect

*2024-06-13*

The idea of the app is great and is exactly what I was looking for, but I tend to not use it very often only because of one feature. When a task is overdue, after you complete that item, it should reset and no longer be overdue but instead it stays overdue until you mark it complete a certain number of times. For example: I have a weekly task of “Vacumm” and I have it scheduled to reoccur weekly. I skip this task for an entire month (4 weeks) and then decide to vacuum this week and mark it as done. Instead of resetting and making the task due again next week, it stays in the overdue category until I mark it done for each week it’s overdue, so in this case 4 times. For weekly, monthly, and yearly tasks it isn’t such a big deal, but I have a lot of daily tasks on the app and if I don’t mark things as done for a month, I have to check all of my daily tasks 30 times until it moves to the “due” category. It’s just frustrating beachse the idea of marking each of my daily tasks 30 times to reset them overwhelms me and I end up not using the app at all. I would really like to see an option to have tasks reset back to “due” after marking them complete no matter how long overdue they are.

*Update* THANK YOU! The response from the developers was exactly what I needed! Although I still would like to see tasks reset back into “due” once marked completed (especially for tasks that are scheduled for specific days), the “repeat since last completion” feature will be a big help for daily tasks. I have changed my rating to 5 stars and appreciate the devs listening to my feedback and responding so quickly!

**Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback!

Not quite what you’re looking for but wanted to mention in case it’s helpful! When creating a task, you can choose the repeat type of “From Last Completion” with an interval of 7 days (or whatever you like). This repetition style doesn’t create a backlog of tasks if you miss multiple weeks.

I’ve added to my backlog your request for more control over the current repeat behavior.

It’s just frustrating because I got this app to help me get back on track after I have depressive episodes, but the idea of marking each of my daily tasks 30 times to reset them overwhelms me and I end up not using the app at all. ### 5/5 — Great App

*2024-05-17, version 5.1.2*

I needed a new App to replace a current App that is no longer supported. After trying a few Apps, I tried this App and found it gave 90+% of the functionality I need - so was happy to buy a lifetime licence. Additionally this App works beautifully on my Mac too - something the other App didn’t do

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2025-06-01, version 8.0.4*

Can't even mark three things off as done before getting an ad. Ridiculous. Zero stars.

### 1/5 — Love the ad!!!!!!!!

*2025-05-10, version 8.0.3*

Wow! this app is great… the first time I opened it I got an ad… awful first impression… gfkyurself.

### 1/5 — Make it Free

*2025-01-10, version 7.0.4*

Make it free

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2024-08-22, version 6.0.2*

You can only have 5 tasks listed without paying. I am a mom, work full time, and have a life. I have way more than 5 tasks I need to complete in a day, Disappointing at best.

### 1/5 — not free

*2024-04-28, version 5.1.2*

not free

### 1/5 — Can’t get notifications to work.

*2024-02-15*

I recently downloaded Recurrence. It seemed like a great idea. But I’ve enabled all notifications in the app and on my iPhone 14 Pro Max. Recurrence has all permissions granted to display and sound notifications. But nothing happens. This renders the app useless to me. I only notice my missed tasks when I open the act. If someone could help me to fix the notification issue and the app starts functioning properly I’ll raise my rating. But now the app is useless to me. I’ve subscribed for nothing.

**Developer response:** Sorry to see this. Please reach out to support@shayesapps.com so I can help troubleshoot

### 1/5 — Disappointed

*2023-07-01, version 4.1.0*

At first I thought I liked this, but needed to make a decent list so I subscribed. It didn’t integrate well on the widget, and that part was pretty essential for me and my list. Life happened and I was one day too late to cancel my subscription. It says not eligible for a refund, which I appealed, and was still told the same. I should get back all, if not at least most, for that month, and feel majorly jipped.

### 1/5 — You Only Get 5 List Items for Free

*2021-10-21, version 3.1.1*

If you want more than 5 things on your list, you have to pay for the app. Who only has 5 things on their list of things to do. For 5 things, I can keep it in my head.

That was a waste of time since just adding one item to the list takes so much time to hammer out the details of what category it's in, how often it repeats, and other things. Oh well.

### 1/5 — Calendar Clone

*2020-07-18, version 1.2.0*

It is exactly like using google calendar.
I need track or be reminded to do a certain number of recurrences in a specific time frame. 12 times per month, but not on set days or dates. This doesn’t do that, so I’ll try something else.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Nailed It

*2026-07-09, version 9.3.0*

This app is fantastic! Not overly complex, intuitive UI, and solves a problem that’s been bugging me for years. Developer is responsive to questions and feedback. The task sharing / collaboration feature is great for households with overlapping task responsibilities. Highly recommended.

### 5/5 — Great app with lots of customization options

*2026-04-16, version 9.2.0*

Started using this a few months ago and really love it. So many options to customize task frequency, due dates, notifications, etc. Really decluttered my calendar by moving the little stuff to this app.

### 5/5 — Responsive developer

*2026-03-23, version 9.2.0*

I suggested an improvement and they added it to the app in a week

### 5/5 — Prioritization

*2026-03-14, version 9.1.3*

This app is organized to prioritize recurring tasks based on your set goals. It enables you at a glance to determine what’s next.
It works smoothly across my devices.

### 5/5 — Great App to Keep Track of Recurring Tasks

*2026-02-26*

Highly recommend this simple and easy to use app if you need a way to track the last time you completed tasks.

My one request would be to allow for tasks to be in more than one category. Example: I would like to be able to put a task like “Wash dog bedding” to go under “Pet” as well as “Laundry”

### 5/5 — Where have you been all my life?

*2025-12-25, version 9.1.0*

I love apps that are great at a specific purpose. I am taking all the recurring tasks out of Reminders and Things and tracking them in this app. Tried it and it met all my wants and needs. Lifetime purchase for me.

### 5/5 — Très bien

*2025-11-16, version 9.1.0*

Application parfaite pour mon suivie de taches récurrentes.
Manque juste une traduction français et la possibilité de synchroniser avec plusieurs personnes rapidement et facilement plusieurs tâches ou par catégorie.

### 5/5 — What I was hoping for

*2025-10-22, version 9.0.2*

Most of apps are stuffed with options that nobody needs. The apps from this company are different and feel different from the start. They are very well planned with a minimalist approach that brings you much freedom in the setup and usage! I’m impressed really bravo.

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2025-09-26, version 9.0.1*

Exactly what I was looking for. Price is a bit steep, but it does what I need. Works very well.

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2025-09-11, version 8.0.6*

Great app. Thank you!!
