Not instead of getting my reminder notification on the evening before I am receiving my reminder on the evening of our pick up day. It would be awesome it you could fix this bug asap. If an item hasn’t been identified, there’s an option to submit it for review by the team to confirm what the recycling options are. Very good feature for continuous improvement, list refinement and public education. I’d like to see the app expanded to include what was acceptable in Metro Vancouver’s curb side composting program. Although it’s not within RecycleBC’s mandate to collect compostible items, it would be a helpful as a one stop app for determining all our recycling options in the region and Metro Van’s efforts to become net zero. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Shorty software *2026-06-06, version 2025.9.25* Can’t find schedule for my address. Who is that “smart” person that decided to separate recycling schedule from garbage and yard waste by creating another app for it that doesn’t work properly?Now I have to keep two apps to keep track of my garbage schedule? Why no one thinks of making life easier?! I am just going to track garbage and yard waste. That means when there is no yard waste it is recycling. ### 1/5 — Why no pop up events? *2025-07-19, version 2023.4.20* With the subscription calendar you get all of the pop up events in BC. This is nice in Victoria as you get all their gazillion notifications, sooo annoying if you are not. I just want to see or be reminded when my LOCAL pop up event takes place. I don’t have curbside pickup (live in condo building). So app doesn’t allow me to access the recyclable materials feature. Would also like if app showed which landfill my garbage goes to, or which recycle depots take certain items. They automatically sync to my smartphone’s calendar so I can see what is being collected and when. I also appreciate the added info on where to recycle certain items that do not go in the bins such as light bulbs and appliances which I have many of! I also have contacted the email address recently when I had a question and they responded the same day.
