## What is recyPay + Reuse Free Clothes?

recyPay pays you to recycle.

All recycling is done virtually.

WELCOME BONUS
recyPay gives you a $13.27 (USD) welcome bonus the first time you log in.

VERY IMPORTANT
Your bonus CAN ONLY be sent to you after your "Transferred" amount displayed in your Account is at least $13.27.

VIRTUAL REALITY
recyPay does not currently involve the use of VR technology, for example VR headsets, in any way.

RECYCLING
Submit an item for recycling by scanning it.

If the item is unknown, you'll prompted to either identify it from a list of known items or add it.

After submission, your item is transferred to your Virtual Recycling Center (VRC.) If you don't have a VRC, it's saved until you create one.

A VRC contains a Virtual Battery. This battery provides the energy required to recycle. If the battery power is too low, it's impossible to recycle. To charge the battery, you just go to your account and tap the "Charge Battery" button.

Provided the Virtual Battery has enough power, recycling starts when the "Recycle" button located in the menu is tapped. It stops when any other button is tapped, when the app goes to the background, or when the battery's power becomes too low.

After your item has been recycled, at most $0.05 (USD) are added to your account balance.

BOTTLE BILLS
For every $0.05 any legitimate recycling center in your community pays you for recycling, recyPay adds $0.01 to your account balance.

RECYMARATHON
recyMarathon rewards you for recycling the most on any given day. Your reward is randomly selected and added to your account balance.

MODE OF PAYMENT
recyPay pays you using eGift cards. However, you may choose "Other Gift" if you prefer to be paid differently.

In no particular order, listed below are the gift cards you may choose from:
- App Store & iTunes Gift Card
- Amazon.com eGift Card
- Target Gift Card
- Walmart eGift Card

Apple, Amazon, Target, and Walmart are not sponsors or associated with recyPay in any manner.

RECEIVING YOUR GIFT CARD
Go to the "Account" section of recyPay and tap the "Transfer" button located at the bottom.

You will be prompted to select the gift card you want and to provide an email address to which the gift card should be emailed.

If all goes well, you will finally see a message specifying when your gift card will be emailed to you.

If you prefer to be paid differently, select "Other Gift" and follow the subsequent instructions.

VRC RENT
The rent for a VRC is $0.99 (USD) and is due before your gift card is sent to you. To pay your rent, tap the "Pay Rent" button located at the bottom of the "Account" section.

ADVANCED APOLOGY
When scanning various items, you may find the scanning process to be slow. There is nothing we can do about that. We apologize.

RECYPAY'S GOAL
To incentivize recycling in the real world by incentivizing it in the virtual world.

In the real world, our hope is that you follow your community's guidelines in relation to recycling.

FREE CLOTHES FOR REUSE
recyPay also encourages the reusing of clothes and gives out gently used clothes for free so they can be reused. If interested, just go to the menu, select "Reuse," and if you have enough reuse points, choose an item you would like to reuse and it will be mailed to you for free -- provided you're in the USA -- within two weeks.
If you don't have enough reuse points, you can choose clothes that require zero reuse points: all you need to do in order to get them is purchase a digital box that you can then fill with as many clothes as you want. After it's full, the clothes are shipped to you and the box is virtually recycled. If you still want more clothes, you just have to purchase another digital box.

Yours truly,

LogeekSoft LLC

### 5/5 — Recycle

*2024-06-27*

I have a question about the sight on bonus and can I just transfer the $13 just on my Amazon Account and also when you get paid what do you get paid through?

**Developer response:** After you have a Virtual Recycling balance of at least $18.27, you can transfer all your funds to yourself via any gift card for example Amazon Gift Card, etc or via PayPal, Cash App, Venmo, Zelle, etc

### 5/5 — I love the app

*2024-05-11, version 1.1.11*

I love this app. The only thing I’m not to happy about is the charge battery part. I just got 1 volt to charge my battery and it only went up 2%. I liked that it used foot steps to charge the battery.

### 1/5 — DO NOT DOWNLOAD

*2023-01-24*

This app is a scam to make think you can earn money but just makes you watch ads which make them earn money

**Developer response:** That’s not true

### 1/5 — Don’t work

*2022-06-06*

It says I have money to cash out yet when I enter my email and then enter it again, it goes to an ad and it will not let me click off the ad.

**Developer response:** Within about 15 seconds after a full-screen ad is displayed, a cross icon is also displayed in either the top-right or top-left corner of the ad. Just tap it to close the ad. If you don’t see it, just wait for a few more seconds.
Now that you know how to close the ad, could you please change your one star to five stars? Thanks :-)

### 2/5 — Don’t waste your time on this app

*2022-03-16*

They “offer” you a welcome bonus of $13.27. But when I tried to redeem the balance I got an error message saying it was on hold. To the developer: don’t offer a welcome bonus if the user can’t redeem it. False advertising

**Developer response:** You probably didn’t read the following statement located towards the very top of the App Description:

VERY IMPORTANT
Your bonus CAN ONLY be sent to you after your "Transferred" amount displayed in your Account is at least $13.27.

Now that you have, could you please change your 2 stars to 5 stars?

:-)

Thanks

### 1/5 — Fraud, probably

*2022-03-15*

This is the most convoluted and poorly designed app I’ve ever seen. The only reasonable explanation is that it’s a poorly disguised ad delivery system. While you scratch your head trying to figure out how you earn money on “virtual recycling”, they are making money by serving you ads after every attempt interaction. UPDATE: It’s so cute that this unhinged “app developer” keeps using the phrase “virtual recycling” as if that means anything at all. And I think what they mean is that they don’t want us to try to figure out how you earn money because it’s pretty obvious there’s no money to be made (except the money they make on ads while you waste your time “virtually recycling”. Oh, and I did try their customer service link and got rude responses there, too, just as they’ve left all over the other reviews. Seriously, how did this trash fire make it into the App Store? I thought Apple had a review process. This one slipped through.

**Developer response:** Fortunately for you, the app features a Customer Service button that you can tap and provide Customer Service with your wonderful design ideas. In the meantime, given that you find the app convoluted, we strongly recommend that you use it in “Simple” mode. Just go to the menu, and at the very top, switch on “Simple.”

>>>
We apologize that you’ve found it important to scratch your head while using our app. Please note that the app doesn’t require you to figure out how you earn money. All the app requires you to do — if you’re interested in Virtual Recycling — is scan your items by tapping the “Scan” button located on the Home page and then recycle them by tapping the “Recycle” button located in the menu.

The reason you find the app convoluted is probably because you’re spending time doing things the app doesn’t require you to do. For example, “figuring out how you earn money.” The app doesn’t require you to figure that out…

### 5/5 — Best app ever

*2021-10-12*

Which that will pay you lots of money. I usually do not write reviews but this app is so good I must tell you if you like to make money this app is for you.

### 3/5 — Not sure

*2021-07-23*

I really enjoy the motivation behind this app. Nothing else like it that I know of. Unfortunately the app often crashes without any rhyme or reason from what I can understand. The whole interface feels really sketchy though. You also have to wait until you hit $50 to cash out which takes an extremely long time. I’m more than half way there and if I can’t cash out at $50 definitely reporting and leave a real negative review. Here’s hoping this is legit and I can add some faith in humanity.

Update 7/23/21
To the developer - thank you for your response. I’m sorry if I offended you in anyway. Your response seemed quite intense, at least to me. Just want to encourage you to remember that I simply hold an opinion and a lot of your response to my skepticism about the app is difficult to prove there for hard for me to believe. Like I said going to keep plugging along with it and look forward to these new change/ come September. Power to the people you say cash out $50 regularly even with all of the glitches in the app; that’s a lot of consumption but it’s good they are recycling.

**Developer response:** We always give detailed or — as you’ve put it: intense — responses to our reviews. The reason is never because we’re offended but rather because we have a strong desire to give the reviewer a glimpse into our mindset.

********************
Power to the people you say cash out $50 regularly even with all of the glitches in the app
>>>
The app crashes due to third-party software that we use to display ads. We can’t fix the software because we don’t own it. On 07/26/21, we’re going to release a new version of the app with that software removed. We will re-integrate it after the third-party fixes it.

********************
The whole interface feels really sketchy though.
>>>
We’ve designed our interface to be as simple as possible so that a 4-year-old, a 100-year-old, and anyone else can understand it as soon as they see it. Additionally, this app is available globally: an interface that is easily understandable by certain people in certain parts of the world may not be as easily understandable by certain people in other parts of the world hence the need for absolute simplicity.

Opinion:
The simpler something is, the sketchier it may appear to some. For example, compare the first car ever made to the best car today.

********************
You also have to wait until you hit $50 to cash out which takes an extremely long time.
>>>
We have some users that regularly hit $50 in about two weeks. If we didn’t, we would certainly have decreased the requirement from $50 to about $25 or less. That said, most users have a hard time hitting $50. Therefore, in September 2021, we’re going to change our reward model so that users can cash out anytime they want. For example, one will be able to cash out after hitting $1, $2, $3, or whatever. However, with the new model, it will be even harder to hit $50 but you won’t need to since you will be allowed to cash out anytime.

********************
I’m more than half way there and if I can’t cash out at $50 definitely reporting and leave a real negative review.
>>>
Several people cash out frequently after getting to $50. We have some who even wait until $150. If people were not able to cash out, several real negative reviews would already exist about that and the App Store would have probably already suspended our app.

********************
I really enjoy the motivation behind this app. Nothing else like it that I know of.
>>>
Thanks

### 5/5 — I’m changing my review

*2021-06-11*

I originally rated this 4 because I had a problem but the developer helped me fix it turns out I was just being dumb, but overall great app!

**Developer response:** By default, your Virtual Battery has a 0% charge. When you walk, the battery charge increases from 0% to a higher value. 73,920 footsteps are required in order to get a 100% charge. When you recycle some items or sell your footsteps, the battery charge decreases. I think the number you are referring to is 73,920; not 345,000. The number 73,920 is not supposed to change: it’s purpose is to inform you how many footsteps it takes to fully charge your Virtual Battery. The value that changes is the percent and it does so based on your Virtual Battery’s charge level. Provided your Virtual Battery has some power, you should be able to recycle. Sorry for the confusion and thanks for the stars

### 1/5 — Slow

*2021-04-29*

Scanning each bottle is extremely slow. Waiting for server to respond for each scan takes forever. No it’s not my internet connection. It doesn’t give option to enter quantity and do one scan since all bottles are exactly the same.
Slow. Very encouraging to stop recycling.
No body has time to sit there and wait for each scan to respond before you can scan next bottle that is exactly the same. Why not just let people enter quantity?

**Developer response:** We apologize for the slow speed: this is certainly something people should know in advance before downloading the app and so we’re going to add it to the app’s description. That said, there’re other things that you can do with the app! We’re currently seeing an increase in the demand for footsteps and would like to strongly encourage you — as well as anyone else bothered by the slow speed — to open your Footstep Shop — if you haven’t already — and instead focus on selling your footsteps. The process is super fast and being able to sell your footsteps is undeniably awesome
