## What is Redact Kit?

Redact Kit helps you clean sensitive images and PDFs before you share them.

Use it to cover visible private details, crop images, flatten redacted PDF pages, and remove hidden metadata from images and PDFs. It is designed for simple, local privacy cleanup when you need to send a screenshot, document, form, receipt, ID copy, or photo without leaving extra information behind.

Key features:

• Image redaction
Draw solid redaction boxes directly onto images. Exported files are rebuilt as fresh PNG or JPEG images with metadata removed.

• Image crop
Crop images before export so only the part you need remains.

• PDF redaction
Redacted PDF pages are flattened into page images, so covered content is burned into the output instead of being left as editable PDF layers.

• Metadata-only cleanup
Remove hidden metadata without drawing redaction boxes. Supports images, PDFs, Photos, files, and folders.

• Batch cleanup
Clean multiple images and PDFs at once in Metadata mode.
