### 4/5 — Nicr

*2026-08-26, version 2026.33.0*

Pretty Good App

### 1/5 — Reddit? Should you use it??

*2026-08-25, version 2026.33.0*

Reddit is the kind of app you have on your phone if you want to announce to the world that you’re a cringe loser with zero real value to anyone. Not that I think the end goal for humans is the value you can bring to others, rather, that anyone who uses this app regularly and seeks validation from those who regularly use this app

### 1/5 — Tired of Forced Apps

*2026-08-25, version 2026.33.0*

First they got rid of 3rd-party clients. Now they prevent accessing via a mobile browser. Requiring an app to browse a website is absurd.

### 1/5 — Persistent Banner On Video

*2026-08-25, version 2026.33.0*

IOS 26.6
When viewing a video in landscape mode, title banner remains consistent above video blocking viewing portal.

Uninstalled and reinstalled with no luck.

### 4/5 — It’s really good, bud…

*2026-08-25, version 2026.33.0*

Reddit is REALLY good, I love it actually! I would give it five stars, but the karma system is a bit confusing to me… where I can’t comment unless I have 100 karma, I don’t understand the karma system, and some of my posts get deleted because of no reason(or that might be the karma too) so… I just say that it’s really good, no problems otherwise, other than the karma system in my opinion.

### 1/5 — Browser unfriendly

*2026-08-25, version 2026.33.0*

I don’t like being forced to download an app instead of viewing it in the browser

### 1/5 — Reddit is the worst

*2026-08-25, version 2026.33.0*

This corporation has zero integrity

### 1/5 — Can’t send DMs

*2026-08-25, version 2026.33.0*

I have been able to send a DM to anyone in days. Keep getting the same error message “failed to establish a direct chat” of course zero help from anyone on the platform. To add to that now you need to wait at least 6 minutes between posts. What is wrong with this platform?

### 1/5 — Click away for a second? Check the weather? App refreshes.

*2026-08-25, version 2026.33.0*

The app shouldn’t refresh me away from a post I was reading, or a comment I was writing, just because I opened another app or checked the weather. Want me to fact-check literally anything I’m writing? Probably shouldn’t make it impossible.

### 1/5 — Forced

*2026-08-25, version 2026.33.0*

I was forced to download the app because of the website and that doesn’t sit right with me.

### 2/5 — Infuriating in mobile browser

*2026-08-25, version 2026.33.0*

“Open in app” just opens the App Store, and the mobile site won’t let you keep reading beyond a couple comments. This makes one of the last places to get real results on the internet basically unusable.

### 1/5 — Forced Download

*2026-08-25, version 2026.33.0*

Forcing users to download the app when using a web browser for a WEBSITE!

### 1/5 — Forced to download

*2026-08-25, version 2026.33.0*

Forced to download the app to use Reddit

### 1/5 — Gay

*2026-08-25, version 2026.33.0*

Don’t recommend for any individual who values their life

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Forced to use the app from browser

*2026-08-26, version 2026.33.0*

I loved reddit before it forced me to download the app. Please remove this restriction and make everyone happy.

### 1/5 — Mods are awful

*2026-08-26, version 2026.33.0*

They are just pathetic, power tripping losers, that mute or ban you illogically, and don’t listen to your side. The app itself is fine. The people who run it, are horrible.

### 1/5 — Worst community on the internet

*2026-08-26, version 2026.33.0*

Uncensored porn a bunch of crybaby neckbeards and a really greedy company that intentionally made the site try to piss you off as much as possible, whats not there to love?

### 1/5 — Forced to download

*2026-08-26, version 2026.33.0*

They made their website inaccessible with a download app to continue reading message

### 1/5 — Most Useless App EVER! DO NOT DOWNLOAD!

*2026-08-26, version 2026.33.0*

This is the stupidest app I’ve ever used. You ban people’s accounts without warning, without a clear explanation, and sometimes seemingly without a good reason.

You make it difficult for people to communicate and participate because of the whole karma system, yet when someone is actually trying to make posts and build karma, you can turn around and ban their account.

Even if someone accidentally breaks a rule, especially when they’re new to the platform, why not give them a warning or temporary suspension first? Why go straight to permanently banning someone?

The moderation system feels unnecessarily harsh and frustrating. People deserve a clear explanation of what they did wrong and a fair opportunity to correct their behavior before losing their entire account.

Honestly, this has been one of the most frustrating apps I’ve ever used.
Would give 0 stars if I could

### 1/5 — Locked out of desktop website. App installation required for phones.

*2026-08-26, version 2026.33.0*

0/5 stars if possible, I will not rate a app anything more that requires installation when the desktop website works
just fine without it.

### 1/5 — The worst, most censored app in existence

*2026-08-26, version 2026.33.0*

It’s a terrible app, that has a lot of potential to be a good app

### 1/5 — App is trash!!!

*2026-08-26, version 2026.33.0*

Safari works just fine without forced trash app download!

### 1/5 — Constantly blocking my view of posts to force app use is unacceptable

*2026-08-26, version 2026.33.0*

I used to have the app, I have an account, but these days I just use my summary via email. Or I did until every post gets locked by a big ad picture telling me to download the app. If I was going to use the app, I would be. I don’t want to use the app, I want to read in my browser like I could for years. Taking away access just makes you look like a controlling jerk of a company, though it’s not like that’s any kind of secret.

I will gladly never install your app again just to spite you for this spiteful behavior. Stop blocking my content. I am still using your service even if I’m not in your app. It still has ads. You do not need to monitor my personal browsing data.

### 1/5 — Screw Reddit

*2026-08-26, version 2026.33.0*

If I could do 0 stars I would. My account got hacked and then banned for what the hacker did, appealed to Reddit and basically got told that I don’t ever get to have an account again even though I’m not the one who posted inappropriate content 🙄 I reached out to the help desk like 4 times and got told the same bs over and over that I’m permanently banned for nothing since I didn’t actually do anything but whatever, screw you reddit
