### 4/5 — Used to be good

*2024-09-20*

A few issues; -If you turn on pass lock, you can swipe the pass Lock Screen away meaning the passcode is meaningless and the app is not private. -many gif formats are not supported so you are unable to view a lot of gifs and posts because they simply won’t load -lately there has been an issue with domain fronting that completely blocks Reddit through this app. Upon launching you get “domain fronting block” and cannot use the app whatsoever.
EDIT: domain fronting block issue has been fixed and app works as intended once again. Pass lock is not fixed and many gods still do not load but it beats a lot of the other apps. Been using this app for many years now and is probably the best replacement for some of the old apps that got blocked due to Reddit API rules.

**Developer response:** Hi there, sorry for the crash. This is a hard case to solve unless I have access to the phone. So my only suggestion is to re-install the app. Thanks!.

### 2/5 — Used to be good

*2020-07-14, version 10.1.6*

It feels like the app developers are busy doing something else. This hasn’t been updated for a while. Too many videos won’t play. I liked the light weight approach and the that there were only few but meaningful updates but things are moving on and this app isn’t keeping the pace at all. I’m uninstalling it now after being a user for years.

### 4/5 — Redditor

*2020-05-15, version 10.1.6*

Really like the VR aspect. Clean and simple operation

### 2/5 — Half the fun.

*2020-02-25, version 10.1.6*

How do you Post comments? The reply button had plenty of options but reply ain't one.

### 2/5 — Most media still won’t load

*2019-08-01, version 10.1.6*

Previously gave 3 stars for most pages not loading. Lately it is just getting worst and have to open it in Safari. v.redd.it pages have the most issues.

### 4/5 — Not bad

*2019-07-19, version 10.1.6*

This is a great start. Still haven’t figured out how to get from settings back to front page. Some videos do not preview or load. But the concept is great. Beautiful display of reddit content and scrolling works well.

### 3/5 — Fatal flaw

*2019-04-22, version 10.1.6*

I love crushing this app, but it consistently refuses to let me log in. I have tried several methods, including setting up a new log in. Spinning wheels of death and no assistance....EVER!

### 4/5 — Help

*2019-04-15, version 10.1.6*

Love this app but has to delete it. Since re installing it it wool open once but after that it starts to open and then crashes. Love the app but can not use it. Running the latest iOS on iPhone 6.

### 2/5 — Really falling behind

*2019-03-09*

This app used to be my favorite and only reddit browser, but it has fallen behind quite a bit. It’s having a lot of troubles loading imgur albums and multireddits and you are unable to locate any number of subreddits through use of its filter or search(the only way to pull them up is through r/all or popular and even then you have to click the link to the subreddit through the comments). Last update was 4 months ago so I don’t know if the developer is working on a big update or this app no longer has support. It’s unfortunate

### 2/5 — Issues are popping up.

*2019-03-07*

At one time, this was probably the most underrated reddit app out there. As of now though, the app age is taking its toll without updates. Videos from sources like I.reddit or giphy or VERY hit or miss. Normally miss now as of lately. As I just found out, readability mode for links is dead as of March 1, 2019. The domain that handled it is now deactivated. The filter button doesn’t work anymore. It’s just sad. The ease of use is near unbeatable, but it’s age is taking a toll at an alarming rate. Hopefully the developer will come back and release an update. But as of now, tread with caution.

### 2/5 — Can’t play gifs or videos

*2019-02-21, version 10.1.6*

This was my favorite reddit app, but I often have an issue with gifs or videos. The wheel loads but never plays. I can only see the tiny thumbnail, but never the actual playable content when I click on it. Please fix this. I have used redditor for years and would hate to switch apps :(

### 4/5 — Love it. BUT FIX T!!!

*2019-02-08*

FIX CRASH ON LAUNCH. FIX NOTHING LOADING.

Can you seriously fix the bugs in this. I’ve tried every single reddit horrid app and this is the only one that lets you fullscreen-swipe left to right and never see the same post twice. Other apps make me see the same crap all day long even after clicking “hide posts above”. But this one actually works.

### 4/5 — Good app.

*2019-01-02, version 10.1.6*

I wish the search capability was better...

### 4/5 — Fix for Max

*2018-11-04, version 10.1.6*

Needs ui fix for XS Max resolution..scrolling is a bit jittery at times also. Would gladly donate to developer but not if it only covers ads for a year..bad model.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Sad Times

*2024-09-14, version 11.0.5*

Used this daily for years, was absolutely the best Reddit app. Loved it.
Sadly, as of Sept ‘24 it no longer works,
All feeds and pages just show error 421: Domain fronting block.
Tried to contact the dev to no avail.
Also the Devs website is lo longer live.
Leaving this review as a last resort…

I hope this gets revived and isn’t adandonware..!

### 1/5 — Where’s the sound?

*2024-01-21, version 11.0.5*

I don’t see anywhere to turn on sound for videos??

### 1/5 — Garbage. Won’t open.

*2023-08-03, version 11.0.5*

Crashes on just won’t open. Fun for wasting your time accomplishing nothing, if that’s what you’re into.

### 1/5 — It simply doesn’t work

*2023-08-01, version 11.0.5*

Nothing shows up, like at all. Just choose a color. But no idea how to even do that.

### 1/5 — Doesn't work on ipad

*2023-07-07, version 11.0.5*

Just see a bunch of coloured squares.

### 1/5 — Utter garbage

*2023-07-02, version 11.0.5*

Compared to what used to be several much better 3rd party apps, the official Reddit app is a sad little trash fire.

### 1/5 — Junk app

*2023-05-19, version 11.0.5*

This app cannot login to my account when i have verified the credentials are correct. Move on and don’t waste your time.

### 1/5 — Annoying signing in

*2020-08-01, version 10.1.6*

Listen I think this app may be good but when I try signing it denies my user name password and email it’s freaking frustrating and I’m still not signed in

### 1/5 — App immediately crashes and zero support

*2018-03-14, version 10.0.9*

After the splash screen it immediately crashes. Clicking the link for App Support goes to a side that states ‘under construction’ or zero support basically

### 1/5 — Latest update broken iPhone X.

*2018-03-04, version 10.0.9*

Latest update (4th March) seems to have broken the app. App opens for fraction of a second then crashes back to desktop. Restart phone has made no difference. No longer useable.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Unfortunately no longer working

*2025-09-13*

This is by far the best 3rd party reddit app available but unfortunately it stopped allowing logins. You can still use it though if you dont care about logging in.

### 5/5 — Good App. Amoled Black theme would be nice

*2024-10-25, version 11.0.5*

That’s all

### 5/5 — It’s a shame

*2024-09-11*

I absolutely live this app for its search function, but have been getting domain fronting block errors for weeks now. Nothing loads anymore and it’s completely unusable.

### 5/5 — Still free after Reddit API change!

*2023-11-01*

This is the best free app that still works after Reddit started charging for API usage.

It’s a Reddit app, it does Reddit app things. It has a gallery view if you are into r/aww. I don’t do a lot of commenting, or moderating, so I can’t say anything about that. Reading posts and comments works well. It’s working flawlessly as my news aggregator.

For the dev, there are some older reviews reporting crashes. I played around a lot to see what they were taking about and found one reliable way to break it. Have an iPhone with FaceID, set passcode lock to unlock with TouchID, it’s impossible to open the app again without reinstalling it. I don’t use the locking feature personally, and have not had a single crash or any kind of issue at all in the last two months I’ve been using it otherwise.

### 5/5 — Very happy

*2020-10-02, version 10.1.6*

I'm new to it but so far it's working out well

### 5/5 — Awesome App

*2020-02-28, version 10.1.6*

Has something for everyone and it’s truly fun to search through all the titles

### 5/5 — Favourite reddit app

*2019-12-19, version 10.1.6*

I’ve been using this religiously for 3+ years and I have personal bias (because I’m extremely used to it) but I personally can’t find a better client for Reddit on iOS. 5/5 for me

### 5/5 — Great App

*2018-12-06, version 10.1.6*

Really good for browsing through the posts. Not sure how to comment on posts though.

### 5/5 — Good again

*2018-06-17*

It was great but the last update, while fixing the screen size on iPhoneX, introduced scrolling bugs. Very difficult to use when it will randomly jump halfway down the comments when you’re reading a comment. It also glitches while scrolling comments up or down. I’m guessing there is some manual logic in the scroll controller based on an incorrect screen size assumption.

Update: fixed now.

**Developer response:** Hi there, the scrolling issue on iOS 11 is fixed. Please update the app and try it out. Thanks!

### 5/5 — My favorite reddit app. -original review: Pictures don't load

*2018-06-06*

Pictures load perfectly in new release. My favorite reddit app

Original:Recently no pictures load. Makes using the app impossible. I've switched Reddit apps until this is fixed.

**Developer response:** Hi there, please try the new release. Pictures should show up now.
