### 5/5 — works like a charm

*2025-07-08, version 7.18.1*

I would normally be using firefox, but my laptop decided it can't handle it, so safari it is. I wanted to redirect duckduckgo to noai.duckduckgo, and this extension let me do that no problem. i am very pleased

### 5/5 — Working as intended

*2025-06-23, version 7.18.1*

Helps to redirect from new reddit to the old one, thanks!

### 5/5 — App essenziale

*2025-06-23, version 7.18.1*

Permette di impostare il Redirect da un indirizzo di un sito web ad un altro. Essenziale per poter impostare motori di ricerca custom dato che Apple in Safari non lo permette

### 5/5 — Brilliant

*2025-06-10*

This is amazing. I use it to override the default Safari search settings over to Kagi. I’ll find tons of other useful stuff to add. It’s even cross platform on macOS and iOS/iPadOS.

### 5/5 — No competition

20/10

### 5/5 — Funzione utile

*2025-06-05, version 7.18.1*

Fa quello fhe deve fare in modo relativamente semplice e intuitivo. Utile anche la funzione libreria per scoprire siti e soluzioni inaspettate.

### 5/5 — Great at what it does!

*2025-05-30*

I’ve tried many solutions, ranging from privacy-focused apps to product-specific extensions, but this is the only one that handles redirections before the original page even starts loading. For those of us who value privacy and prefer using custom search engines, this is crucial—not only do I get results from my chosen engine, but my searches also aren’t sent to the default options supported by Safari. The same goes for my self-hosted services like Invidious and Redlib. Lastly, the iCloud sync works perfectly and it is very convenient. Highly recommended!

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2025-05-14, version 7.18.0*

Absolutely wonderful app. Does exactly what it says. Bonus, no data collected!

### 5/5 — Bestes Addon für Safari…

Funciona genial para hacer consultas con ChatGPT directamente desde la barra de direcciones de safari.

### 5/5 — Redirecting to archive.is

*2025-04-15, version 7.15.0*

It’s easy to set up rules to redirect paywalled articles from the New York Times, Washington Post etc to open directly in the Internet Archive. This extension is a great bargain.

### 5/5 — Very good interface and cheap

*2025-03-27, version 7.12.0*

Very handy for me

### 5/5 — Saved me from youtube

*2025-02-15, version 7.12.0*

I'm a youtube addcit, this lets me have the utility of the internet without the life wasting binge. Easy to use if you read the instructions 😊👍

### 5/5 — Quick turnaround from app developer

*2025-02-04*

I wrote the app developer asking about what seemed like a bug. They responded right away that a fix was in the works. Then a few days later they wrote back that the updated app was in the App Store and the bug was fixed!

### 5/5 — Incredible app!!

*2025-01-29*

Loving it so far

### 5/5 — Very cool (L meta)

*2025-01-24, version 7.11.0*

Facebook marketplace started redirecting me to the brainrot feed front page after inactivity, thanks to this app I can redirect it back to /marketplace. If I need to redirect something else in the future I will gladly pay for the lifetime full version.

### 5/5 — Works Perfectly

*2025-01-22, version 7.11.0*

Works as intended and it’s very fast! Allows almost unlimited customization with the paid plan which is very affordable (thanks for making a lifetime plan!)

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — No Instructions (Explanations)

*2026-05-13, version 10.1.0*

App is too difficult to understand. The only users that use this are other coders and developers.

### 1/5 — Doesn't work

*2024-05-05, version 5.1.1*

This plug-in just doesn't work at all trying to redirect from one search engine to a custom search engine is completely failure

### 1/5 — Redirection isn's smooth

*2023-10-29, version 5.1.1*

Redirection isn's smooth

### 1/5 — One star for pestering me for a rating

*2022-11-19, version 3.1*

The application is great and much recommended. However, to incentivize stopping this alloying trend of pestering users with ratings, this gets one star until the pestering is removed.

### 2/5 — Can't really say

*2023-11-14, version 5.1.1*

I mean, it's a cool concept, I wanted to use this to redirect links to safari web apps and MeetInOne, neither of those even opened the app, the funny thing is that I did try to run the "open -a" command that it shows below the examples on Terminal and that one seemed to work, not sure why the extension wouldn't.

Here's to hoping this gets fixed, I'm really excited to implement this onto my workflow.

### 4/5 — Good App.

*2025-09-01, version 8.2.0*

Nothing more to say! :)

### 4/5 — works just as i want

*2025-06-12, version 7.18.1*

basically it redirects opened urls. can be used for workflow or to block procrastination website - to redirect you to some useless website.

the only thing that's missing are folders and a search feature. to search my already created redirect rules. that would be the fifth star.

I'm using this on an iPhone and on a MacBook. bought the lifetime.

### 4/5 — Guide

*2023-05-07, version 4.8.0*

Excellent app with a lot of functionality, but likely difficult for the average person to author wildcard redirects. The help guide needs more examples.

### 4/5 — A powerful extension, that kinda needs a manual

*2022-12-20, version 4.4*

This extension definitely help with my procrastination from wasting my time on youtube.

I just wish that it had to tutorial for us non-techie people. It took me a while before I learned how the wildcard works (and i’m still trying to learn that).

Still it has a lot of potential to help a lot people.

### 4/5 — Solid

*2022-11-01*

Interface is decent. I like the example feature for testing. Instructions could definitely be better (there aren't any) and only can have 1 redirect before paying 4$, which is why I took away a star.

**Developer response:** After your feedback, I've added documentation, detailed descriptions, tips, etc., so the users can understand how Redirect Web works.
I'm sorry I can't unlock the restriction for free users and sorry that the previous version bothered you, but your feedback made me improve the app, and it saves many other users today. Thank you so much!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Very helpful little utility

*2026-06-22*

It does what it says on the tin. I have a couple of simple rules to deal with the fact that my university library has its own URLs for logged-in use, so when I receive a link to the regular public site, RedirectWeb automatically takes me to the personalized one that lets me read while logged in.

### 5/5 — I forget that it’s there and just enjoy the results

*2026-04-24*

Which is ideal

### 5/5 — Redirect

*2026-02-11*

I would definitely recommend very easy to use

### 5/5 — Excellent app!

*2025-12-05*

Helped immensely while testing new features of our web app.

### 5/5 — Very helpful in helping distraction

*2025-11-05, version 8.7.0*

There are also a lot of predefined rules, and very helpful in blocking distraction websites.

### 5/5 — Brilliant

*2025-10-07*

This is amazing. I use it to override the default Safari search settings over to Kagi. I’ll find tons of other useful stuff to add. It’s even cross platform on macOS and iOS/iPadOS.

### 5/5 — So many uses!

*2025-09-18*

I originally found this app as a way to use Kagi as my default search engine within Safari. That alone was worth the price (it’s far more flexible than Kagi’s version)

I quickly discovered this app is far more useful than merely changing Safari’s default search options.

If you’re reading these reviews wondering if it will accomplish a particular redirect, it most likely will but you can try it before buying it.

It has far more functionality than you would expect. The Library of rules is very helpful and is continuously growing with well vetted user submissions. The developer is extremely responsive and helpful if you are having trouble writing or using a rule.

The rule writing relies on Regex which is very powerful (but tricky for the uninitiated), however the developer is responsive to assist you. In fact, user submissions are frequently added to the library (with permission and credit due), including a few from me.

The Library contains rules for really neat tricks you didn’t know you needed including the ability to read archived articles that might otherwise would require subscriptions. These rules alone make the app pay for itself many times over.

Also don’t let the in app “subscription” option turn you off. It’s really a way to allow for an inexpensive fully functional trial if you’re not ready to purchase an inexpensive lifetime subscription. Without a purchase you can have multiple rules but you’re limited to just one active rule. This makes it easy to try as many rules as you want without costing anything but your time.

I haven’t tried the recently added feature that allows this extension to work with browsers other than Safari, but I imagine they work fine.

### 5/5 — Love this extension

*2025-08-26*

It’s a really great extension if you like taking control of where links send you.

### 5/5 — Does what it should

*2025-08-03, version 7.18.1*

I was hoping to get rid of a bad habit of visiting a news website to get a slight dopamine rush, but thanks to Redirect Web for Safari, I got rid of the habit. The little barrier prevents me from procrastinating. Well done!

### 5/5 — Looking good

*2025-07-24, version 7.18.1*

Had a bit of trouble getting my urls correct at first but worked like a charm when I switched to regular expression. Perfect for redirecting to privacy frontends and avoiding all the bloat that comes with social media sites.
