## What is Redline?

Redline brings real-time Formula 1 timing, telemetry, and race strategy insights straight to your phone — fast, private, and built to feel like part of the pit wall.

No account needed to get started. No ads, no clutter. Most of the smart features — like AI race summaries and strategy predictions — run right on your device, so your data stays yours.

LIVE TIMING
- Real-time timing tower, driver tracker, race control feed, and team radio — streamed directly from F1's official live timing feed
- Team radio clips transcribed on-device — audio never leaves your phone
- Optional F1TV login unlocks live car telemetry (credentials never touch app code)

TELEMETRY & RACE PACE
- Compare speed, brake, throttle, and gear traces between any two laps, with a running time delta
- Race pace box-and-whisker plots per driver and stint for at-a-glance consistency comparisons

STRATEGY PREDICTOR
- A what-if strategy engine models tyre degradation, track evolution, compound choice, and tyre age to generate candidate race strategies
- Ask questions in plain language — "Would a 3-stop have been faster?" "What if Max pitted 5 laps earlier?" — powered by Apple's on-device Foundation Models
- Every number comes from the underlying degradation and pace model, not the language model, so answers stay grounded in real data instead of guessing

FIA DOCUMENTS
- Official FIA race documents and bulletins, summarized entirely on-device — nothing leaves your phone

CHAMPIONSHIP & RACE STORY
- Full schedule, results, and driver/constructor standings, automatically up to date each season
- Race Story chart plotting every driver's position lap by lap
- Circuit track layouts for every race

WEATHER
- Track-level weekend weather forecasts via Apple WeatherKit

WIDGETS
- Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets counting down to the next session

Built Apple-first: WebSocket networking, on-device AI via Foundation Models, WeatherKit, Swift Charts, and WidgetKit — with on-device Whisper as the only third-party dependency, used purely for radio transcription.

Requires an Apple Intelligence-compatible device for on-device FIA summaries and the Strategy Assistant chatbot; both features degrade gracefully to non-AI views on other devices.
