Tried reaching out to their support team. Just couldn’t get through to a real human, because the bot is extremely useless and spews out nonsense to waste your time. Also they might shadow ban you for no reason ### 1/5 — The Ai Can Ban Your Account And Customer Support Doesn’t Know Why *2026-08-20, version 9.43.2* Red Note uses an overly aggressive AI that often falsely detects posts that it thinks violate community. Unfortunately it misses the mark more often than not and flags innocent accounts leaving them unable to post or interact with followers. After you spend time building your community a bot can destroy your community in a second leaving you with no way to recover. The appeal process is in Chinese and customer support may not be able to tell you what you being punished for. RedNote is now imposing region-based restrictions on my account and claims that some content is simply “not visible in certain regions.” However, the reality is much worse: even friends in the same region and on the same IP address cannot search for my account or see any of my posts. I have never violated the platform’s rules, yet my account and content were suddenly restricted without any clear explanation of what I supposedly did wrong. I contacted customer service, but all they could tell me was to “respect the appeal result.” No explanation, no specific reason, and no meaningful solution. After using this platform for 10 years, this is incredibly disappointing. If there are legitimate regional policies or restrictions, RedNote should clearly explain what the restriction is, why it was applied, and how users can resolve it—instead of giving vague statements and dismissing legitimate concerns. Very disappointing treatment of a 10-year user. ### 3/5 — Sadly I’ve been locked out for NO known reason, & I do not have any local Chinese IDs to restore! :( *2026-08-17, version 9.43* I love (loved) RedNote. It was my WINDOW into China directly, even though I would sort of see SOME things on TikTok back then… but these days… I don’t see much China content at all on TikTok if any, minus a few “seller streams” and I also don’t see or receive nearly as much immersive typing content and more. RedNote was much better for all of that… AND it was helping me to learn LOCAL Chinese dialects and figuring out how to work the Chinese keyboard to slowly begin exposure to and with… writing back and forth in Chinese. It was a GREAT experience, and a wonderful tool to help you immerse yourself more in Chinese culture… and likewise, we began a cultural exchange with our friends in the Far East and it was nice. I love it still, and will go redownload it to watch fresh immersive typing videos… but if someone at RedNote could help me out to get my account back or figured out (?) I would be very grateful. I have translated what the “errors” say and they aren’t making sense, or they’re saying that I may have been flagged as a “bot” account and I am absolutely not a bot account… I know the last experience I had was chatting in a big group of people about travel to China, I had asked about local networks and which they preferred and some things like that… I may (?) have asked about VPNs but ONLY for my iCloud account syncing in the US, which I know is allowed somewhat for traveling visitors, but I think you have to use an APPROVED app, which I am okay with! I just don’t know what happened… I don’t know what I did, and I’m sad. I miss my other little sweet potatoes… and I want to be back on RedNote! :( I tried to see if I could “reset” my account some way… but it didn’t seem like there was an option for that. :\ — PLEASE HELP someone @ rednote… please please PLEASE help!
