Wanted to book a three day outstation trip from TN to AP. The app keeps saying “outstation Tax must be a number” error. Have reported it multiple times. Each time they will open a ticket and without resolving they will close the ticket in 24 hours. Even if you ask them to reopen the ticket they won’t. The problem still persists and seems to be the case from multiple accounts as much as I have tried. (All ios). They just don’t care. **Developer response:** We’re extremely sorry for the experience you’ve had. We understand your concern, and we sincerely apologize for the repeated inconvenience and lack of resolution. We have resolved the issue now. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. ### 1/5 — Double booking Issue and asked to the cancellation fee *2026-06-06* Very bad app experience with Red Taxi due to a double booking issue. While trying to book a cab, the app kept showing the “searching for driver” screen without any confirmation. Since it looked stuck, I retried the booking. During that time, one driver called me, so I assumed the booking was confirmed only once. Then the second booking confirmation screen appeared. But without any proper indication or warning, the first search had also created another booking. As a result, two drivers arrived for the same trip. When I contacted Red Taxi support, they told me that I should have validated the rides properly if double bookings were created. Honestly, as a customer, when I’m in a hurry getting ready, packing things, and managing travel, how am I supposed to continuously monitor and verify whether the app silently created multiple bookings? Also, only one driver called me during the booking process. The second driver only contacted me after reaching the pickup location. So naturally, I believed there was only one confirmed ride. When I requested cancellation for one ride, I was still asked to pay the cancellation fee. I paid it because I didn’t want the drivers to lose income or face issues from Red Taxi for something that was clearly caused by the app’s poor UX and booking flow. This issue is completely due to bad app design and lack of clear booking status communication. Red Taxi seriously needs to improve the booking experience and prevent duplicate bookings during retries or delayed confirmations. **Developer response:** We’re really sorry about your experience. We would like to review the issue and help resolve it for you. ### 5/5 — Go to Taxi App in Tamil Nadu *2026-06-02* Easy and seamless booking experience **Developer response:** Thank you for choosing RedTaxi :) ### 1/5 — Worst experience *2026-05-19* Worst app ever...booked a cab from red taxi for sightseeing and trip to coimbatore....booked 150km sightseeing in ooty and 80km travel to voimbatore....package came to rs 3700...first of all driver arrived 2 hrs late....next he took another passenger on the road to drop him in coimbatore...didn't took us anywhere for sightseeing....straight to coimbatore....guess how much the charges came for 93km....same 3700...we adked him to wait a few minutes to confirm the price with customer care...he didn't....started threatening....shouting on road....redtaxi doesn't even wanna compensate the amount or anything..... **Developer response:** We’re really sorry about your experience. Some area for improvements for the app: 1. OTP can be shown in live activities like namma yathri, always a hassle to open the app and find the OTP. 2. Option to turn off unwanted notifications. The app is clean and easy to use, bookings are quick, and most drivers arrive on time. Fares are reasonable and rates are generally comfortable. I did have a couple of unpleasant encounters with drivers who were rude and seemed rushed. Those were disappointing, but they were exceptions rather than the norm. I’d like to see better driver training and follow up when complaints are filed. Dedicated drivers, quick turn around time, on time pick ups and arrival at destination. Most of the vehicles are maintained well. No bargains from drivers and rather polite attitude extended by drivers especially in Coimbatore zone. There may be exceptions but very scarce. Reliable and safe but efficient services are available when compared to competitors. At times, the app misbehaves with respect to uploading current location as well as updating the location of vehicle. App needs improvisation especially when most of the customers are more novice to handling the smartphone but correctness is essential for operations.
